This is a backend, product-focused role. accountable not only for system reliability and performance, but for how your systems drive measurable product and operational outcomes\nOwn features end-to-end from technical discovery through launch and iteration, using data and feedback to continuously improve outcomes\nDrive engineering excellence through best practices in testing, monitoring, observability, and performance optimization\nActively contribute to building the team’s architectural vision and technical roadmap\nCollaborate on code reviews and technical design documents to ensure the consistent application of best practices across relevant domains\nParticipate in on-call rotations to ensure reliability of production systems\nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team:\n5+ years of software engineering experience\nExperience architecting, designing and building scalable web applications and distributed systems\nProficiency with Python, relational databases, and frameworks like FastAPI or Django, with hands-on experience in metrics instrumentation and data-driven performance tuning leveraging Ro’s load testing infrastructure and tools like Datadog\nExperience partnering closely with Product to scope and deliver user-facing features that drive measurable business impact\nProven track record of scaling complex, data-intensive backend systems through rapid growth on a high-traffic engineering organization, ensuring high performance and availability\nStrong intuition for product tradeoffs -
