We recognize and value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.\nPosition Summary\nThe Night Shift Data Technician is responsible for supporting the All-Electronic Tolling (AET) system along the Turnpike through installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and system health monitoring during off-peak hours. This role ensures tolling infrastructure operates at peak performance 24/7 while delivering reliable, high-quality field support. We are seeking a technically inclined, self-motivated individual with strong critical thinking skills and a commitment to service excellence. Prior low-voltage or field technician experience is preferred but not required.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitor tolling system equipment to ensure performance meets operational specifications.\nPerform installations, preventive maintenance, and break-fix repairs on electronic and mechanical components.\nConduct routine inspections, including weekly site walkthroughs and scheduled maintenance checks.\nDiagnose and resolve system issues efficiently to minimize downtime.\nMaintain compliance with client agreements, standards, and scope of work requirements.\nCommunicate effectively with Manager, Scheduling, and Operations teams regarding system status and field activity.\nSupport overnight lane closures and installations as required.\nOperate equipment such as bucket trucks in accordance with safety protocols.\nJob Functions Overview\nField Technicians are responsible for maintaining the reliability and performance of the AET system by:\nPerforming bi-annual preventive maintenance on gantry equipment\nConducting recurring site visits and system health checks\nTroubleshooting and repairing electronic and mechanical failures\nEnsuring continuous system uptime across all tolling locations\nRequired Qualifications\nValid driver’s license\nMinimum of two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following areas:Information Technology (Installation & Configuration)\nDigital Signage Systems\nAudio/Video Systems\nConsumer Electronics\n12-Volt Electrical Systems\n\nProficiency with hand tools and diagnostic/test equipment\nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nDemonstrated customer service mindset and professionalism.\nOrganized, self-starter with strong attention to detail.\nPreferred Skills\nAbility to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams.\nBasic computing and smartphone proficiency for reporting and diagnostics\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.\nExperience training or mentoring others in technical environments.\nLow-voltage systems experience (preferred, not required)\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout shift.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.\nComfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions\nAbility to work overnight shifts and support highway operations.\nCapability to operate a bucket truck during highway closures.\nEOE Statement\nRoadSafe is an Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans\n\nPay Range: $35 -
