This role includes overseeing on-site employee training, directing the daily branch operations, and managing production, safety, staffing, inventory, revenue, and earnings. The role requires strong P&L experience, balancing corporate financial goals with customer needs and local resource availability.\nThe Role:\nWe are seeking an operational leader with strong financial acumen who can confidently manage customer relationships while ensuring branch profitability. You will oversee branch production, shop activities, and customer relations, while coordinating with estimating departments to align production capacity and critical path issues. Additionally, you will collaborate with accounting on revenue recognition, forecasting, and reporting. This is a hands-on, working manager role, with responsibilities that extend to performing traffic control and operations on the jobsite.\nEssential Functions:\nManage crews and equipment in remote locations to meet and exceed customer expectations.\nServe as a direct representative to municipalities and customers, handling project notifications, securing permits, and ensuring compliance with ordinances and regulations.\nSolve problems quickly and independently, exercising sound judgment and authority.\nDevelop employee schedules, manage personnel on projects, and ensure timely completion of paperwork.\nCoordinate labor needs for projects, including sourcing and scheduling external labor.\nPlan and schedule projects efficiently and cost-effectively.\nAssess employee performance and contribute to hiring and firing decisions.\nOversee safety and compliance, including DOT and safety training for employees.\nUnderstand that this is a high-demand position, requiring 24/7 availability, including evenings, weekends, and extra workdays to meet project deadlines.\nRequest and manage material needs based on project requirements.\nMaintain a system for reporting production to accounting for accurate billing.\nKeep up-to-date Weekly Revenue Forecast Reports.\nTravel as needed for project oversight and customer interaction.\nKey Leadership Competencies:\nLead by example, with a strong focus on safety, business ethics, work habits, and work-life balance.\nBe a good communicator who earns respect from subordinates, vendors, and customers alike.\nEngage in district-level discussions and represent the branch professionally.\nServe as a candid team builder and player.\nBe accountable, focusing on maximizing profit and cash flow.\nRepresent the company in interactions with customers and agencies, handling scheduling, disputes, and scope changes professionally.\n Knowledge and Skills:\nDeep understanding of state specifications for traffic control devices and materials.\nIndustry involvement through trade associations or coalitions with state DOTs or similar organizations.\nProficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Viewpoint (with training provided).\nStrong understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets and P&L statements.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in traffic control and safety, including crew work and formal industry training.\nMinimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience\nEOE Statement\nRoadSafe is an Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans\n\nPay Range: $75,000 -
