The manager supervises a team of 5-15 employees, keeps inventory and storage organized, enforces safety procedures, and works closely with Operations Managers so every job is prepared and runs smoothly. The role suits a hands-on leader with moving industry experience who plans well, solves problems as they come up, and is always looking for a better way to run the floor.\nResponsibilities:\nOversee daily warehouse operations, including opening and closing procedures.\n\nPlan and coordinate daily tasks and job schedules so crews, trucks, and materials are ready on time.\n\nWork closely with Operations Managers on upcoming jobs, priorities, and staffing needs.\n\nEnsure safe loading, unloading, storage, and handling of all inventory.\n\nOperate a forklift and support the crew on the floor as needed.\n\nMaintain accurate inventory control and shipment documentation.\n\nLead, supervise, and evaluate the performance of a warehouse team of 5-15 employees.\n\nTrain and onboard new warehouse staff on procedures, equipment, and safety practices.\n\nCommunicate clearly with team members in both English and Spanish.\n\nDetermine staffing needs, assign workloads, and manage crew expectations.\n\nEnforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.\n\nResolve team conflicts and day-to-day operational issues quickly and professionally.\n\nIdentify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements.\n\nReview reports, work orders, and driver/foreman paperwork.\n\nTake disciplinary action, when necessary, in accordance with company policy.\n\nReport on performance metrics and operational updates to senior management.\n\nRequirements:\nMinimum 3 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or moving operations; moving industry experience required.\n\nProven leadership experience supervising warehouse teams of 5-15 employees, with strong delegation and conflict resolution skills.\n\nFluent in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).\n\nForklift experience (certification preferred).\n\nHands-on experience with inventory control and warehouse organization.\n\nWorking knowledge of warehouse safety procedures, with strong attention to detail and quality standards.\n\nStrong planning, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.\n\nBasic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.).\n\nAble to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with Operations Managers.\n\nComfortable in a fast-paced environment and proactive in finding operational improvements.\n\nFlexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.\n\nPhysically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying temperatures.\n\nValid driver’s license.\n\nAbility to read and interpret floor plans and blueprints is a plus.\n\nWhy Roadway?\nWe care about the people who work here, and we put real effort behind that.
