And as a Bid Manager, you’ll be part of a team that’s doing incredible things - for ourselves, for the built environment around us, and for a truly sustainable future\nYour new role\nAbout The Role:\nManage the pre-construction activities for projects.\nPrepare tender price and submission documents for bids \nPrepare budget costs for projects at feasibility stage\nProduce tender reports as required by the Regional Bid Manager and Directors\nMonitor and manage tender correspondence/documents/drawings\nCarry out cost/value investigations in conjunction with Regional Bid Manager and Tender Team\nUnderstand construction programmes and their implications on costs and bid deliverables\nIdentify and manage risks and opportunities associated with tenders\nIdentify value engineering to maximise commercial returns to the business\nAttend external and internal meetings and interviews\nProvide cost advice to external and internal teams\nEvolve historical cost database\nManage the production of tender deliverables \nProduce cash flow forecasts for clients\nEnsure that the management of bids, from early design stages through to site commencement, is progressed in line with the tender programme and that costs related to the design are fully understood and the company’s position is contractually protected and margin opportunities maximised\nPrepare comprehensive handover documentation of successful tenders from the pre-construction to operational teams and assist in the early integration where necessary\nWhat you'll need:\nConstruction experience in a Bid, Design, Commercial or Pre-construction capacity\nA formal construction related academic qualification is preferred \nCommercially astute.\nAble to identify and assess commercial risk and develop winning strategies for projects.\nSound knowledge of technical, contractual and procurement techniques\nWho we’re looking for:\nPeople are at the heart of everything we do and achieve at Robertson.
