We see more than just service.\nFacilities Manager\nLocation: St Fergus House Dyce Drive, Dyce, Aberdeen AB21 0LQ\nWorking hours: Monday to Friday - 38.75 hours per week\nContract: Full time, permanent\nRobertson Facilities Management (RFM) provides hard and soft FM services, grounds maintenance and energy services for single and multi-site locations throughout the UK. We work across sectors including education, healthcare, emergency services and commercial, assuring our customers of high-quality, best value and a sustainable approach.\nRFM has grown significantly since its inception in 1999, with a turnover of £181m for FY2025 and employs more than 1500 people. We are now on a growth trajectory, with ambitious plans to grow the business to £300m turnover by 2030. Our plans for growth require RFM to ‘make the market’, and to be at the forefront of high value opportunities in the FM marketplace\nYour new role\nWhat you’ll do:\nResponsibility for the operational delivery of services.\nDeliver and monitor the Service Delivery Plans and KPIs.\nEstablish, monitor, and supplement resource levels to comply with contract requirements.\nFacilitate the development of robust risk management processes and procedures including jeopardy management.\nSupport the Continuous Improvement Programme and identify issues to drive forward contract development, including but not limited to, innovation, best practice and in line with Robertson processes.\nEncourage, coach, support and manage the effective performance of people and develop them to meet the contract requirements.\nManagement of site budgets to ensure contract activity is completed to time and cost effective in line with scheduled KPIs.\nConduct audits and workplace inspections on a regular, agreed schedule in line with the service delivery plan.\nImplement Robertson’s integrated policies on Quality, SHEQ in conjunction with support teams and the client’s requirements.\nEnsure defined H&S responsibilities and accountability are established and regular reviews are undertaken.\nTo develop relationships and partnerships with client management teams to ensure delivery of contract.\n Ensure personal achievement and development plans/Appraisals for staff under their control are completed and reviewed each year and ensure training requirements are delivered.\nEnsure site managers are aware of their roles and responsibilities and are aligned between all other departments; including but not limited to, hard and soft services, HR, SHE and procurement.\nEnsure all opportunities for organic growth are presented to line manager.\nWhat you’ll need:\nExperience managing multi-disciplined/soft service FM teams.\nA pragmatic and methodical approach to problem solving.\nAbility to work on own initiative.\nExperience in subcontractor management.\nAbility to undertake a range of audits from quality, H&S and FSA.\nA recognised health and safety qualification e.g. IOSH.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAble to demonstrate previous experience of auditing and the use of auditing tools.\nAble to demonstrate proficiency in the use of CAFM systems.\nProficient in relevant computer programmes (Microsoft Word, Excel etc).\nUnderstanding of HR processes.\nFull UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites.\nThe successful candidate will require a PVG/Disclosure Check.\nWho we’re looking for:\nThe Facilities Manager reports to the Contract Manager and will assist them with delegated reporting, budget, management, and meeting tasks. The job holder requires the ability to manage client relations, internal teams, and external suppliers.
