Our plans for growth require RFM to ‘make the market’, and to be at the forefront of high value opportunities in the FM marketplace\nYour new role\nWhat you will do:\nUndertake planned, reactive and cyclical maintenance work either independently or under the supervision of the Facilities Manager/Team Leader or as assistant to a maintenance tradesman ensuring all works have been recorded on completion in compliance with the contract conditions.\nService and repair of doors, windows, general building fabric and plumbing systems\nService and repair of internal fixtures and fittings.\nUndertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the Client.\nEnsure the safe operation & storage of all plant, materials, equipment and tools.\nRegulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and RFM policies and procedures of. \nCarry out various operational tests and inspections of the facility, specifically those relating to security and access, maintenance and repair and health and safety. This will include the security of the premise and its contents, lighting and heating of premises.\nProvide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.\nProvide out of hours maintenance support to the Findlay House and Midlothian Community Hospital on a call out rota basis shared with the Midlothian Community Hospital Engineers.\nWhat you'll need:\nGood Joinery / Fabric skills, a related trade qualification or experience in a similar role, carpentry - doors, frames, hinges, locks and furniture repairs, shelving install\nPlumbing skills general, repair of sanitary ware (unblocking sinks and toilets, repairing and replacement of taps, toilet flushers, showers etc)\nHard working, reliable, punctual, have good communication skills\nAwareness of health and safety and the need for safe methods of working.\nBasic electrical duties - lamp changes and minor repairs.\nA full UK driving license is a requirement for this role\nThe successful candidate will require an PVG/Disclosure check\nWho we’re looking for:\nPeople are at the heart of everything we do and achieve at Robertson.
