This involves using CAD/CAM software to translate designs into machine code, setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines, and collaborating with engineers to ensure parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and to quality standards.\nPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProgramming: Develop, test, and write CNC programs, using Mastercam to control machinery.\nAnalysis: Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and design specifications to determine machining requirements, tool selection, and optimal machine settings.\nOptimization: Create and modify programs for maximum efficiency, accuracy, and productivity, and make manual adjustments as needed.\nTroubleshooting: Monitor machine performance, conduct test runs, and troubleshoot problems during the manufacturing process.\nMachine setup: Set up CNC mills and ensure proper handling of tools and materials.Installing and adjusting tools and fixtures, and calibrating machine parameters for precision and accuracy.\n Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct test runs (simulations) and initial part inspections to verify programs function correctly and products meet specifications, making adjustments as necessary.\n Tooling and Material Selection: Choose appropriate cutting tools, materials, and workholding solutions (jigs, fixtures, vises) based on part requirements and material properties.\n Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct test runs (simulations) and initial part inspections to verify programs function correctly and products meet specifications, making adjustments as necessary.\nDocumentation and Collaboration: Document processes, write clear setup sheets for machine operators, and collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure smooth production.\nQualifications\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:\nEducation/Experience: A high school diploma or GED is required, with many employers preferring a technical or associate degree in CNC programming, machining, or a related field. An apprenticeship or several years of hands-on experience in a machine shop is highly valued. CNC Machining Certification and CNC Programming Certification are preferred.\n Technical Skills:Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360).\nStrong understanding of G-code and M-code programming languages.\nAbility to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings, including GD&T symbols.\nFamiliarity with various CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers) and their operational limits.\nExperience using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).\nMust be able to design cutting paths, tooling and tooling interface 5-axis on Mastercam and SolidWorks (CAD). \n\n Soft Skills:Excellent mathematical skills (including geometry and trigonometry).\nStrong problem-solving and analytical abilities.\nExceptional attention to detail and accuracy.\nGood written and verbal communication skills for documentation and teamwork.\nMechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety protocols. \n\nPay Range:
