This position is responsible for maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing and coding corporate expenses, assisting with vendor payment runs, and supporting the month-end close process. The Accountant helps ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records while contributing to continuous process improvements and providing support for a variety of accounting projects and initiatives as needed.\n\nWhat you will do: \nAccounting & Reconciliations\nPrepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.\nPerform bank and other account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.\nPrepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.\nMaintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and properly classified.\nPayments & Expense Management\nAssist with vendor payment runs, ensuring payments are processed accurately and in accordance with approval processes.\nReview, reconcile, and code corporate credit card statements in accordance with company expense policies and accounting classifications.\nSupport the tracking and recording of employee expense reimbursements where applicable.\nMonth-End Support\nAssist with month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliations.\nHelp maintain documentation supporting financial records and reporting.\nOperational Accounting\nAssist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations, where applicable.\nSupport fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules.\nReview transactions for accuracy and assist in resolving accounting discrepancies.\nProjects & Collaboration\nWork closely with the Assistant Controller and Controller to support accounting processes and reporting needs.\nAssist with process improvements and documentation of accounting procedures.\nParticipate in special projects and other accounting-related initiatives as required.\n\nAbout You: \nPost-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nApproximately 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience.\nWorking knowledge of GAAP or IFRS accounting principles.\nExperience using ERP systems and accounting software.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.\nExcellent analytical and reconciliation skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.\nHighly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong problem-solving capabilities and a continuous improvement mindset.\nCollaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.\nEffective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and
