As a Service Management Senior Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing and constructing unified user-facing interfaces, engineering AI-powered developer tools, and assisting engineers in overseeing all changes to their services.. If you are customer-focused and looking for an environment to challenge you, you'll be right at home within our experienced and expanding Engineering team.\nYou Will:\nPartner with our internal Engineering teams to gather requirements and develop our service management platform that fulfills the critical user journeys\nCreate, influence, and improve the overall development and implementation of front and back-end applications that manage thousands of change rollouts everyday\nCollaborate with stakeholders and fellow engineering teams to come up with cross functional architectural designs tho be optimal for multiple years into the future\nDevelop, mentor, and share best practices with our engineering teams to improve automation and efficiency\nWork closely with managers to shape the team's vision and bring that to life\nWork with a global team of engineers who are building groundbreaking technology to achieve the Metaverse\nYou are required to be in the office at HQ 3 days a week (Tues-Thurs).\nYou Have:\nA BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) and at least 5+ years of relevant work experience\nDesigned, built, shipped, monitored, and supported tools and/or systems used by other engineers at Roblox scale (1000+ engineers)\nExperience with backend development and frontend development and best practices\nDesigned and built tools at scale\nExtensive Infrastructure and distributed system experience\nExperience working with common cloud technologies\nExperience with Docker, Containers, and CD Platforms\nFamiliarity with Hashi Corp and Kubernetes is a plus\nYou Are:\nKnowledgeable and proficient in deploying common industry build/test/CICD technology\nExperienced, with 8+ years as a software engineer\nPassionate about the engineering experience and productivity, and will be an advocate across engineering for the importance of CD practices to that experience\nA full stack engineer, having built tools using two or more languages (Go, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ReactJs, TypeScript…)\nCustomer-focused, you enjoy the challenge of working with your customers to establish outstanding solutions that solve their toughest problems\nA team player, you work with and inspire others around you, and you are comfortable working with people in any situation\nFor roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
