Specifically, you will build cross-functional technical programs for our game-engine, graphics, and avatar mechanics. This is an excellent opportunity to be an early member of our team and help define what a great TPM can be. \nYou will:\nManage Engine programs end-to-end with cross functional teams, build strong alignment between program objectives and company’s long-term vision\nWork with Eng and PM leads to define workflows and scopes of work, milestones and plans of execution in standard documents\nContribute to holistic program direction. Identify gaps in the strategy, definition and execution of the end-to-end projects and develop plans for improvements.\nEnable engineering teams to stay focused on priorities and reliably manage all project phases. \nEstablish and maintain effective cross functional communication and collaboration. \nDrive the build, release, expansion, and adoption of technologies. Build the task force to automate manual efforts. \nConstantly communicate the health of program/projects, risks and implications to timelines with technical and product leads, and stakeholders. \nYou have: \nA track-record as a technical leader with domain expertise in software engineering or system engineering \nExperience working on multiple tech stacks\nExperience with establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams \nExperience with identifying critical technical problems and opportunities\nData-driven strategic thinking and can convey ideas that materialize in solid planning and day-to-day execution to deliver quality products\nExperience with delivering end to end technical programs through effective execution while meeting quality and performance requirements\nThe ability to turn specific solutions into systems that benefit larger communities in the long run\nThe ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with competing resources and priorities \nKnowledge about user needs, scoping, planning, execution and delivery\nOutstanding communication skills for both engineering and program-leadership audiences\nA self starter attitude with a high degree of self direction and independent drive\nFlexibility around process; using process as a tool when it makes sense for a team\nWhat you’ll need to succeed at Roblox:\nDomain expertise in system or software engineering\nCapability of establishing working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams \nStrong problem solving skills \nStrong communication skills\nAbility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment\nWhat will make your application stand out:\nTechnical depth\nProblem solving skills\nCommunication effectiveness\n3D graphics understanding\nGame engine experience\nFor roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
