In this role, you’ll work across areas such as model training and inference, LLM services, Agent infrastructure, data systems, experimentation, evaluation, and developer tooling while learning how to build reliable systems at scale. You’ll design, code, test, launch, and operate production features, partnering with teams across product, research, data, infrastructure, safety, creator, engine, discovery, and economy. You will report to an Engineering Manager within Foundation AI organization.\nYou will:\nBuild platforms and services that power machine learning, generative AI and agentic platform and product experiences across Roblox.\nExplore emerging technologies, including ML frameworks, LLMs, agentic systems, distributed systems, and GPU infrastructure.\nImprove the speed, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency of AI development\nContribute to systems operating at Roblox scale while balancing quality, latency, reliability, and responsible data use.\nYou have:\nYou have an undergraduate/graduate degree in computer science or equivalent experience in engineering, a related technical field.\n1-3 years of experience in software engineering, distributed systems, cloud services, or a related area.\nExperience building projects through coursework, internships, research, or personal work.\nWorking knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Go, Python, or Rust, along with an interest in learning new technologies.\nInterest in machine learning, generative AI, distributed systems, data infrastructure, or developer platforms.\nStrong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate across teams and disciplines.\nFor roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
