Embedded within the Platform Security team, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, partnering closely with Infosec and Infrastructure teams to secure our cloud infrastructure. Your architectural decisions will directly impact the security of a global platform.\nYou Will:\nCreate Paved Roads: Build innovative services and tooling that make the secure path the easiest path, enabling developers to deploy faster and safer.\nEngineer Self-Healing Infrastructure: Architect and scale systems that monitor our cloud posture and automatically enforce a self-healing security baseline.\nDesign Secure-by-Default Blueprints: Partner deeply with infrastructure teams to bake threat modeling and secure-by-default patterns into the core DNA of our cloud environments.\nImplement Effective Guardrails: Deploy organizational security controls that protect our developers without slowing them down.\nAdvance Detections: Write and optimize detections tailored specifically to our footprint.\nYou Have:\n4+ years: of relevant professional experience.\nExperience writing and maintaining: code in at least one programming language such as Python, Golang or C#, and you are eager to learn new languages and technologies. \nExperience with: automation, IaC, system hardening, container security concepts, cloud security policy and observability.\nDeep understanding: of cloud service architecture and cloud security concepts.\nFamiliarity with: with container orchestration systems, such as Kubernetes.\nUnderstanding of: network security concepts and best practices, ex: enabling secure connectivity between resources, implementing egress controls.\nYou Are:\nCollaborative: You love working with your direct team and cross-functional partners.\nThoughtful of build vs. buy decisions: You can build solutions, but you also review what tools are available.\nComfortable with ambiguity: You can gather data and make informed decisions when there is no clear answer.\nFor roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
