You're eager to 'do the work,' big and small.\nThis role suits someone who has run IT at a startup, likes automating repetitive work away, and wants real ownership rather than a ticket queue.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs our IT Operations Engineer, you'll own corporate IT end to end: identity, devices, SaaS, and the employee lifecycle from first day to last. You'll own how Roboflowers get set up, stay productive, and get offboarded cleanly.\nWe serve some of the world's largest enterprise companies like Rivian, Pella, Chobani and BNSF, so smooth and secure IT is a shared priority across the company. You'll be the second member of our IT and security function, working alongside our first Security & Automation Engineer as part of our Infrastructure organization. They'll own the security program and audits, and you support it with the day-to-day controls and evidence.\nSkillset\nRequired:\n3-5 years in IT operations or systems administration, including at least 1-2 years at a startup or small, fast-moving team\n\nHands-on admin experience with Okta or a similar SSO provider (Microsoft Entra ID, OneLogin, JumpCloud)\n\nProven macOS fleet management with an MDM (Kandji, Mosyle, Jamf, Intune, or similar)\n\nGoogle Workspace administration\n\nScripting ability (Python, Bash, or similar) and a habit of automating repeated tasks\n\nClear written communication; you document as you go\n\nNice to have:\nSupported a SOC 2, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 audit, or used a compliance platform like Secureframe, Vanta, or Drata\n\nOkta Workflows or other no-code automation tools\n\nLinux familiarity and basic GCP or AWS IAM\n\nExperience supporting a remote team across time zones\n\nWhat this role is not:\nNot Windows administration: we run macOS and Linux\n\nNot traditional enterprise networking: we're cloud-first with minimal on-prem infrastructure beyond our office hubs\n\nA Glimpse of Your Work\nIdentity and access:\nAdminister Okta (or our SSO provider): app integrations, groups, provisioning and deprovisioning, and MFA policy\n\nRun access requests and periodic access reviews across Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, GCP, and our other SaaS tools\n\nDevices:\nOwn our macOS fleet through MDM: enrollment, configuration profiles, OS and app patching, and encryption\n\nHandle laptop procurement, shipping, inventory, and recovery for a distributed team across the US and Europe\n\nEmployee lifecycle and support:\nOwn onboarding and offboarding end to end, so new hires are productive on day one and departures are fully closed out the same day\n\nBe the go-to person for hardware, software, and account issues, and turn recurring questions into docs or self-serve fixes\n\nSupport office IT (Wi-Fi, conference rooms, printers) at our New York and San Francisco hubs\n\nAutomation:\nScript and automate repetitive IT work (for example, onboarding workflows, provisioning, and device compliance checks) using tools like Python, shell scripts, Okta Workflows, or HRIS integrations\n\nKeep IT procedures, runbooks, and the asset inventory current\n\nSaaS and vendors:\nManage the SaaS stack: licenses, renewals, spend, and removing unused seats\n\nEvaluate new tools and vendors with the Security & Automation Engineer\n\nSecurity and compliance support:\nKeep IT controls healthy day to day (device compliance, access reviews, offboarding checks) and follow up on exceptions\n\nCollect and organize audit evidence for SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA, and future frameworks\n\nHelp roll out security awareness training and phishing simulations\n\nWho You'll Be Working With\nOur team of ~100 attracts talent like executives that wanted to return to building, founders with a 100M+ exit, Roboflow users turned team members, open source contributors, a cyclist who biked across the United States, prolific high school hackers, a CTO from 100+ engineering organization, amongst many exceptional others.\nYou will directly be working with our Engineering Lead, our Security & Automation Engineer, and a team of product, infrastructure, and security engineers.\nWhere You'll Work\nRoboflow is distributed across the US and Europe. We currently have Hubs in New York City and San Francisco (and plan to open more as we grow density in new cities). We provide opportunities (like team on-sites in different cities) and resources (like a $4000/yr travel stipend) to work in person with other team members as much as you'd like, while also supporting remote team members. You can work from one of our Hubs (we offer a relocation bonus), work from home, work at co-working spaces, etc. We want you to work where you work best!\nWhen You'll Work\nRoboflow primarily operates during the daytime hours in the US and there are some synchronous meetings you'll be expected to attend each week.
