Developer (Integration Engineer) to design, build, and maintain the integration layer connecting a digital Residents and Tenants Portal with various third-party and enterprise systems.\nYou will be responsible for developing secure and reliable APIs and middleware that enable key platform capabilities including authentication, e-signature, payments, access control, CRM integrations, and notifications.\nThe ideal candidate has strong experience in backend development and API integrations, with a solid understanding of API security, authentication protocols, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party and enterprise systems.\nIntegrate with identity and authentication providers to support SSO, 2FA, password reset, and session management.\nDevelop integrations with e-signature platforms such as DocuSign or similar solutions to support contracts, addendums, and termination workflows.\nIntegrate with CRM and leasing systems to synchronize unit listings, inquiries, leads, offers, and other relevant data.\nDevelop integrations with access-control systems for access cards, visitor codes, and vehicle registration.\nSupport payment and invoicing integrations, including invoice generation triggers, proof-of-payment workflows, and payment-status synchronization.\nIntegrate with email and SMS notification gateways for alerts, confirmations, and renewal notifications.\nIntegrate external data feeds, such as weather and events APIs, where required.\nBuild middleware and orchestration logic to keep data and application states synchronized across multiple systems.\nDefine and maintain API contracts using OpenAPI/Swagger.\nImplement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT.\nDesign robust error-handling, retry, and recovery strategies for integrations.\nImplement webhook and event-driven handlers for asynchronous workflows such as e-signature completion, payment confirmation, and access-control approvals.\nCoordinate with internal teams, client IT teams, and third-party vendors to manage integration environments, credentials, and API access.\nSupport the promotion of integrations from sandbox/testing environments to production.\nDevelop integration, API, and contract tests and support QA and UAT activities.\nMonitor API performance, logs, and error rates and troubleshoot integration issues during production and hypercare periods.\nMaintain technical documentation, integration architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks to support knowledge transfer and handover.\nCollaborate with developers, QA engineers, product teams, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of integration-dependent features.\nRequirements\n4+ years of experience in API development, backend development, or integration engineering.\nStrong hands-on experience building and consuming REST/JSON APIs in production environments.\nSolid understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and webhook-based architectures.\nExperience integrating with at least one e-signature platform such as DocuSign, Adobe Sign, or a similar solution.\nHands-on experience with SSO and identity providers such as Azure AD, Okta, Auth0, or similar.\nStrong proficiency in at least one backend technology such as Node.js, .NET, or Java.\nExperience working with API gateways, middleware, message queues, or iPaaS solutions.\nExperience with API testing tools such as Postman/Newman.\nStrong understanding of API security best practices, including rate limiting, input validation, authentication/authorization, and secrets management.\nExperience designing integrations and translating business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria into technical solutions.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nGood understanding of integration testing and production support practices.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nNice to Have\nExperience working with access-control or physical-security system APIs, such as Genetec, Lenel, or similar.\nExperience integrating with real-estate or leasing CRM platforms such as Yardi, MRI, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics.\nExperience with Azure API Management, MuleSoft, or similar API management/integration platforms.\nExperience working with event-driven architectures and message brokers.\nExperience working in enterprise integration or digital transformation projects.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nAll required third-party and enterprise integrations are delivered, tested, and successfully pass UAT.\nAPIs and integrations are secure, reliable, and scalable.\nIntegration-related issues are identified and resolved within agreed SLAs.\nAPI and integration documentation is complete and clear enough to support the client's internal teams after handover.\nSmooth collaboration with client IT teams, vendors, developers, QA, and other stakeholders throughout implementation and production
