As a Contract Manufacturing Specialist within PTDS Production Enablement, you will manage outsourced clinical packaging portfolios and negotiate key supply agreements. Join Roche in delivering transformative medicines to patients worldwide seamlessly, on time, and with optimal quality.\nThe Opportunity:\nLead Global CMO Operations: Serve as the primary Site Manager overseeing clinical drug labeling, packaging, and device assembly outsourced across our international network of Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).\nDrive Performance & Timelines: Proactively manage CMO onboarding, communication, and project timelines to ensure predictable, on-time delivery while maintaining strict cost and quality standards.\nMaster Vendor Management & Procurement: Partner with Procurement to run Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Statements of Work (SOWs), negotiate supply agreements, and lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities.\nShape Supply Strategies & Budgeting: Collaborate with leadership to define specialized supply strategies for non-standard products and own the variable cost budgeting process for CMO projects.\nOversee End-to-End Financials & Systems: Manage pre- and post-production packaging orders in the ERP system, issue Purchase Orders, review and approve invoices, and ensure full alignment in SAP.\nTrack KPIs & Represent the Function: Define, monitor, and report key CMO performance metrics while representing the clinical packaging function in global cross-functional processes like CD&OP.\nFoster Capability & Capacity Building: Work closely with CMO partners to ensure long-term production capacity, alignment on operational expectations, and cross-functional synergy with internal Roche teams.\nChampion Continuous Improvement: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to identify efficiency opportunities, drive digital/process innovations, and solve complex supply chain challenges.\nWho you are:\nExperienced Supply Chain Professional: You bring a BA/BS degree (preferably in Supply Chain, Business, or a technical field) along with 5+ years of experience in the pharma industry, clinical supply chain, or contract manufacturing.\nStrong Project Leader & Decision Maker: You have proven expertise in project management (APICS, PMP, or Lean/Six Sigma certifications are a plus) and a track record of driving complex initiatives independently with sound judgment.\nSystems & SAP Proficient: You hold solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with hands-on proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and a strong eye for detail.\nGlobal Mindset & Cultural Agility: You excel in cross-cultural environments, demonstrating high emotional intelligence and social competence when collaborating with global partners across different time zones.\nStrategic Negotiator & Stakeholder Manager: You possess strong business acumen to negotiate agreements, build trusting relationships with suppliers, and align internal stakeholder priorities toward organizational goals.\nExcellent Communicator: You are an articulate, professional communicator across all corporate levels, with fluent Business English skills (German is a plus).\nAdaptable & Flexible Team Player: You thrive in a fast-paced, global matrix setup and bring the flexibility required to seamlessly collaborate across international time zones (e.g., US, Europe, Asia).\nMake an impact on global health-apply today!\nWhere pay transparency applies, details are provided based on the primary posting location.
