Join Roche, where every voice matters.\nThe Position\nThe Finance Excellence Partner (FxP) is instrumental in transforming finance into a more efficient, effective, and networked organization that maximizes impact on the business and customer journey.\nAs Finance Excellence Partner (FxP) you play a crucial role in streamlining finance operations by simplifying, standardizing, automating, and utilising insights for enhanced decision making. you collaborate closely with the commercial finance team, as well as other regional and global finance colleagues. You contribute to fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation as well as drive automation and digitalization across finance.\nKey Responsibilities\nThe responsibilities of the FXP team include but are not limited to:\nSupport the preparation and submission of the budget and the three-year business plan for the Legal Entity (full P&L) in close collaboration with the commercial finance team, regional and global teams; \nContribute actively to continuous improvement to radically simplify the planning process,\nAnalyze deviations vs budget and investigate key P&L line items, expenses by nature and/or destination and key department driving spent\nIdentify and analyze opportunities for financial improvements end to end by engaging the appropriate parts of the organization\nWork closely with the Shared Service Center to deliver timely and high quality Month End closings\nOwn recurring reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and provisions, with supporting documentation and in alignment with RSS colleagues\nManage the execution of allocations, re-allocations and true-ups in line with defined drivers and SLAs, and support their standardization and automation\nOwn end to end cost center planning for selected areas (ie: personnel expenses) in close collaboration with respective function\nDrive and/or support master data management (maintenance, cleansing) in collaboration with master data owners\nMonitor Operating Expenses evolution, CAPEX, NOA, FTEs in close collaboration with your designated area of responsibility and proactively identify opportunities to drive improvements and rationalize spent,\nAct as Finance Business Partner for a dedicated non-customer facing function (e.g. Supply Chain Site Management, or others as Administration, People & Culture, IT and Service Cost Centers) \nSupport business cases and projects to maximise long term financial impact and business execution\nPrepare inputs and materials for executive presentations to drive decision making\nAct as finance contact for recurring regional/global queries on expenses, actuals and onboarding for the assigned area\nImplement automation of recurring finance routines (allocations, reconciliations, reporting) in line with business requirements, chapter standards, and priorities agreed in conjunction within the wider finance team and RSS\nWho You Are\nYou have 5 years of working experience in multinational companies and/or audit\nYou bring strong business and financial acumen \nYou are a team player that aims to continue grow and develop within finance\nYou are passionate about delivering tangible value for stakeholders and the business.\nYou have demonstrated knowledge and expertise of key financial processes and accounting principles.\nYou possess strong analytical skills and data driven decision maker.\nYou are a systems thinker understanding the downstream and upstream impact.\nCommunicate effectively and demonstrate ability to simplify\nYou have the ability to build strong relationships and strong team player\nStrong SAP experience in FI, CO, MM, COPA is a plus\nEnglish and Spanish written and spoken is a must.\nWho we are\nA healthier future drives us to innovate.
