The Position

As the Data Transfer Delivery Lead, you will take on a vital role driving the successful delivery of Data Transfer, Data Migration, and Data Access requirements across multiple functional areas within the Mergers, Acquisitions, Partnerships, In-licensing, and Out-licensing space. Leading the Data Handling workstream across multiple integration and partnership projects, you will make critical technical decisions, manage complex inter-organizational initiatives, and ensure compliant, on-time delivery. This high-impact position demands exceptional problem-solving capabilities, strategic vendor relationship management, and the ability to confidently influence overarching technical strategies and senior stakeholders.

Your Opportunity

As our Data Transfer Delivery Lead, you will:

• Spearhead the end-to-end data strategy and execution for various Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Strategic Partnerships, ensuring seamless and secure transitions.

• Guide and direct technical teams while effectively influencing architectural decisions to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant data transfers and access.

• Take full accountability for the timely and complete execution of all data transfer and migration activities, ensuring strict adherence to defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and project milestones.

• Drive proactive issue resolution by diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges in close collaboration with system owners, engineering teams, and third-party vendors.

• Act as the primary point of contact for IT leadership, business stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring total alignment on data handling needs, access requirements, and project scope.

• Lead high-impact projects specifically focused on the data workstream within the RDT Mergers & Acquisitions portfolio.

• Orchestrate cross-functional data mapping sessions, actively guiding business stakeholders and data owners to finalize migration rules that align with target enterprise architecture.

• Uphold rigorous data integrity and privacy, ensuring all data transfers comply with global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), intellectual property protection, and corporate security standards.

Who you are

We are looking for a strategic thinker who thrives in complex enterprise environments. You possess:

• Education: A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer science / Engineering or equivalent.

• Experience: Overall 10+ years of experience in IT, with a proven track record of managing stakeholders and executing high-impact projects.

• Project Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading complex initiatives in data migration and contributing significantly to enterprise-level data governance.

• Team & Vendor Management: Proven track record of managing vendor teams with more than 10+ resources alongside comprehensive project budget management.

• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in cloud data platforms, enterprise infrastructure, and modern ETL/ELT architecture patterns.

• Problem-Solving Depth: Deep technical knowledge of various enterprise data transfer tools and protocols, with a strong ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system connectivity and data transit issues in real-time.

• Strategic Influence: Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise with senior leadership, mentor junior team members, and influence cross-functional architectural decisions.
