Join Roche, where every voice matters.\nThe Position\nThe Opportunity\nAs a Scientist in the Personalized Healthcare (PHCS) Assay Development team, you will initiate, direct, and perform scientific research and development to support new and existing diagnostics products.\nIn this role you will\nApply advanced scientific knowledge and theoretical understanding of numerous techniques, including histology, immunohistochemistry, and/or in situ hybridization.\nCreate potentially patentable components for systems, reagents, or processes.\nUtilize DOE where appropriate.\nParticipate in cross-functional technical team activities, sharing knowledge and expertise with others.\nContribute to project planning and experimental design.\nAnalyze data, evaluate results, form conclusions, and provide or implement process or document improvements.\nPrepare and deliver presentations of project results to others.\nMonitor work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.\nWho you are\nYou have a Bachelor's Degree in science with 8+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 3+ years / entry level with PhD).\nYou have demonstrated potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others, and independent thought.\nYou have a strong understanding of scientific principles and concepts.\nYou apply advanced technical writing skills to produce reports and documents.\nBehaviors, competencies, and qualities of the ideal applicant\nDemonstrates potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.\nStrong understanding of scientific principles and concepts.\nApplies advanced technical writing skills to produce reports and documents.\nRelocation benefits are not available for this job posting.\nThe expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Arizona is 82,700.00 -130,020.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
