Join Roche, where every voice matters.\nThe Position\nAs a Global Technology Vendor Management Expert - Software & Cloud, you maximize the value delivered by strategic technology vendors while protecting Roche from commercial, contractual, financial, operational and compliance-related value leakage.\nYou act as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert for complex Software, SaaS and Cloud vendor relationships. Working across Technology, Procurement, Legal, Finance, SAM, Security and Architecture, you challenge assumptions, anticipate risks and opportunities, shape decisions and ensure vendor commitments translate into measurable business outcomes.\nWhat you'll do\nLead strategic vendor and contract governance for complex global Software, SaaS and Cloud relationships, establishing accountabilities, performance frameworks and escalation mechanisms.\nProvide expert Vendor Management input across the contract lifecycle, including major agreements, renewals, transformations and commercial decisions.\nReview and challenge pricing/licensing, scope, deliverables and acceptance, SLAs/KPIs, liability/remedies, change control, dependencies, termination, transition and exit.\nLead complex negotiations, contractual escalations and remediation, developing fact-based positions, negotiation strategies and BATNA.\nApply Software, SaaS and Cloud commercial expertise to identify cost exposure, optimization opportunities, contractual risks and vendor lock-in.\nBuild and challenge business cases and TCO, connecting commitments, consumption, spend, performance and outcomes to identify deviations and prevent value leakage.\nIdentify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, technology and compliance risks, driving remediation and escalation where required.\nTranslate complex vendor matters into clear recommendations for senior decision-makers and influence internal stakeholders and vendor executives.\nAct as a Technology VM subject-matter expert, strengthening governance standards and best practices and mentoring Vendor Managers to accelerate team capability development.\nWho you are\nYou are an experienced Technology Vendor Management professional combining strategic thinking, commercial judgement, applied technology understanding and strong execution.\nAs an Expert, you go beyond executing established processes: you shape governance, challenge assumptions, anticipate value leakage, resolve complex situations, influence senior stakeholders and develop others.\nMust-have experience\nSignificant experience managing complex, strategic global Technology/IT vendors, particularly in Software, SaaS and/or Cloud environments.\nAdvanced-to-Expert contract management and negotiation capability, including complex agreements, renewals, commercial escalations and remediation.\nStrong understanding of technology contracts and commercial models, including pricing/licensing, acceptance, SLAs/KPIs, liability/remedies, change control and transition/exit.\nStrong financial and commercial acumen, including business cases/TCO, cost drivers, contractual commitments and value-leakage identification.\nApplied Software, SaaS and Cloud expertise sufficient to challenge vendor proposals and work credibly with technical specialists.\nDemonstrated ability to lead strategic vendor governance and manage commercial, contractual, operational, technology and compliance risks.\nStrong strategic thinking and senior stakeholder influence, with experience operating across global, cross-functional and virtual teams.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills, including English legal and business language. Polish and/or Spanish are an advantage.\nPreferred experience\nEnterprise Software licensing, SAM, Cloud infrastructure/consumption models and hyperscaler environments.\nMajor technology transformations, migrations or large-scale implementations.\nExperience with contractual performance/remedies, cybersecurity, resilience, data protection and GDPR.\nDevelopment of VM frameworks/best practices and mentoring or coaching Vendor Management professionals.\nPharmaceutical, healthcare or another highly regulated industry.\nP2P, budgeting/financial management, ITIL, Agile/SAFe, project or change-management experience.\nBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Technology, Engineering, Business or related disciplines; advanced qualifications are beneficial.\nWhere pay transparency applies, details are provided based on the primary posting location.
