That's what makes us Roche.\nAbout the Position\nAs a Workforce Optimization / Strategies (Data Science) Intern, you will join the Integrated Workforce Strategies Chapter within Roche's People & Culture organization, supporting the development of data-driven solutions that help shape our future workforce.\nYou will gain practical experience in Strategic Workforce Planning, External Workforce Management, Skills Management, and People Analytics, contributing to initiatives that transform workforce data into meaningful business insights. Working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, agile environment, you will have the opportunity to develop your analytical and programming skills while supporting projects with a real impact on Roche's workforce strategy.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nData Analysis & Insights: Support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.\nWorkforce Planning: Contribute to Strategic Workforce Planning, External Workforce, and Skills Management initiatives, helping develop data-driven recommendations.\nData Science & Automation: Use R and/or Python to support data processing, automate reporting activities, and improve analytical workflows.\nReporting & Visualization: Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations using tools such as R Shiny, Streamlit, Excel, and PowerPoint to communicate meaningful insights.\nProcess Improvement: Contribute to the development and optimization of workforce planning methodologies, tools, and analytical processes.\nCross-functional Collaboration: Work with People & Culture colleagues and other stakeholders to understand business needs and support workforce-related projects.\nWho You Are\nYou have recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following fields or a related discipline:\nBusiness Administration and Management (ADE)\nEconomics, Finance, or Business Analytics\nHuman Resources Management or Labor Relations\nMathematics, Statistics, or Data Science\nComputer Science or Artificial Intelligence\nEngineering or other relevant STEM disciplines\nYou also bring:\nStrong interest in Data Science, People Analytics, workforce strategy, and technology.\nKnowledge of R and/or Python, ideally including data analysis and visualization libraries or frameworks such as dplyr, Shiny, or Streamlit.\nGood knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets, PowerPoint or Google Slides, and SQL.\nStrong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.\nAbility to interpret complex information and translate data into actionable insights.\nGood communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset.\nGood command of English, both written and spoken.\nMotivation to learn, develop new competencies, and contribute in an international and dynamic environment.\nNice to Have\nPrevious internship, academic project, or professional exposure to Human Resources, People Analytics, workforce planning, business intelligence, or data analytics would be an advantage, but is not required.\nContract Eligibility - Important Information\nThis opportunity is offered under the Spanish Contrato Formativo para la Obtención de la Práctica Profesional, a formal employment contract designed for recent graduates to gain professional experience related to their completed studies.\nTo be eligible, candidates must:\nHave completed their qualifying studies within the last 3 years, or within the last 5 years for candidates with disabilities, before the contract starts.\nMeet the remaining legal requirements applicable to this type of contract, including restrictions relating to previous professional experience and previous training contracts.\nFull-right to work in Spain.\nTo apply, please submit:\nYour updated CV.\nA cover letter explaining your motivation and interest in Data Science, Workforce Strategy, and Roche.\nHoja de vida laboral \nWe look forward to learning more about you and the perspectives you could bring to our team.\nWho we are\nA healthier future drives us to innovate.
