The ideal candidate will have an understanding of construction safety standards, the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, and the drive to promote a culture of safety across all departments.\nThe Job Site Safety Coordinator will work closely with project teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards, deliver training, conduct safety audits, and ensure that safety protocols and regulations are followed on-site.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSafety Communication & Planning:Collaborate with various departments to plan and implement solutions for hazard control, using engineered systems or personal protective equipment (PPE) to eliminate risks.\nSafety Standards & Compliance:Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including OSHA, VOSH, MOSH, and company safety policies. Keep updated on changes to regulations and best practices in the industry.\nClient Representation:Professionally represent the company during safety inspections and safety-related communications with clients.\nSite Observations & Inspections:Perform regular safety observations, inspections, and audits. Prepare detailed reports on findings and communicate unsafe conditions to management, recommending corrective actions.\nIncident Investigation:Lead the investigation of near misses and incidents, identifying root causes and contributing to the development of corrective and preventative actions.\nSafety Training:Conduct safety training sessions for employees in both English and Spanish, in field or classroom settings. Ensure all team members are knowledgeable about safety protocols and best practices.\nFirst-Aid Care:Provide first-aid assistance for minor injuries and ensure proper reporting and documentation.\nOther Duties:Assist with additional safety-related tasks and projects as needed.\nQualifications:\nBilingual:Proficient in both English and Spanish(verbal and written communication) to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.\nExperience & Knowledge:Basic knowledge of construction industry safety standards and practices. Ability to research and stay informed about regulations as needed.\nPrevious experience in construction safety, risk management, or a related field is preferred.\n\nCommunication & Reporting:Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate safety concerns and solutions clearly. Report-writing and presentation abilities.\nPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, and work outdoors for extended periods. Ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
