This position is located in our San Diego headquarters and reports to the Director of Facilities.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Facilities Maintenance Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This role troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other equipment issues, completes scheduled preventive maintenance, and supports equipment installations and facility improvement projects.\nWhat You'll Own\nPreventive maintenance execution\nManufacturing equipment troubleshooting and repair\nFacility equipment and infrastructure maintenance\nEquipment reliability and downtime response\nMaintenance documentation and work records\nSafe and efficient completion of maintenance activities\nEssential Functions\nEquipment Maintenance & Repair\nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing equipment, machinery, and supporting systems to minimize downtime and maintain reliable operations.\nMaintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including AC/DC controls, wiring, PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components.\nDiagnose equipment issues using operator feedback, equipment manuals, observation, and appropriate measuring and testing equipment.\nPerform basic fabrication, welding, machining, and other mechanical repairs as needed.\nPreventive Maintenance\nExecute scheduled preventive maintenance plans for manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems.\nInspect equipment for wear, damage, or developing issues and complete repairs before they result in equipment failure.\nDocument completed maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and equipment conditions.\nSupport continuous improvement efforts that increase equipment reliability, safety, and performance.\nFacility & Operational Support\nMaintain and support facility systems, including HVAC, process cooling/heating equipment, plumbing, electrical, and other building infrastructure.\nSupport installation, relocation, and modification of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.\nMaintain appropriate maintenance parts, tools, and supplies and communicate replenishment needs.\nSupport outside contractors and vendors performing specialized maintenance, repairs, or equipment services.\nPerform maintenance activities in accordance with company safety, quality, environmental, and operational requirements.\nNon-Essential Functions\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWhat You Bring\nExperience\n3-5 years of industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.\nExperience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment, machinery, and electrical/mechanical systems.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, trade school, or related certification preferred.\nTechnical Skills\nWorking knowledge of electrical systems, AC/DC controls, PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.\nFamiliarity with HVAC, process cooling/heating equipment, industrial plumbing, and facility systems.\nAbility to read equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation and use common diagnostic and measuring equipment.\nBasic welding, machining, fabrication, and hand/power tool skills.\nBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with maintenance tracking or CMMS systems preferred.\nProfessional Skills\nStrong mechanical aptitude with effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nSelf-motivated and dependable with the ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs.\nStrong attention to safety, quality, and detail.\nEffective communication and collaboration skills when working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, and outside service providers.\nPerks and Benefits:\n100% Employer Paid Medical and Dental \nAnnual Bonus \n401K - 5% match\nEmployee Stocks Option Program \n9/80 work schedule\n8- paid Holidays \nPTO: Max. 4-weeks after 5 years of employment \n$2,500 tuition reimbursement \nCompensation:\nThe compensation range for this position falls within $28-$38.
