You’ll work closely with Engineering, Program Management, and Production teams to solve complex technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.\nThis is a hands-on role in a small batch, R&D-focused environment, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced settings and enjoys taking ownership of projects from start to finish.\nWhat You’ll Own\nManufacturing process development from concept through production\nCreation and control of manufacturing documentation (MBOMs, work instructions, travelers, process specs)\nProduct quality, manufacturability, and process efficiency\nResolution of technical issues on the shop floor\nContinuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, cycle time, and quality\nKey Responsibilities\nManufacturing Process Development\nDevelop and implement manufacturing methods for new and existing products\nDefine process flows, material selections, tooling, and fabrication methods\nSupport product development from prototype through full production\nDocumentation & Process Control\nCreate and maintain MBOMs, EBOMs, work instructions, travelers, and process specifications\nEnsure manufacturing documentation is accurate, controlled, and production-ready\nSupport engineering change implementation and configuration control\nProduction & Technical Support\nProvide daily support to manufacturing and program teams\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the shop floor\nPerform redlines and implement engineering changes to in-process parts\nAddress MRB conditions and implement corrective actions\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify and implement process improvements to reduce cost, improve quality, and shorten cycle times\nAnalyze production data to drive efficiency and performance improvements\nSupport development of scalable and repeatable manufacturing processes\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Supply Chain\nInterface with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues\nSupport bids and proposals with manufacturing input, cost estimates, and feasibility\nTraining & Mentorship\nSupport training initiatives and help develop manufacturing capabilities\nMentor junior team members as needed\nWhat You Bring\nExperience\n5+ years of composite Manufacturing Engineering experience\nExperience supporting products from development through production\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and production workflows\nTechnical Expertise\nExperience with composite manufacturing processes (wet layup, autoclave, RTM, compression molding)\nFamiliarity with AS9100 or similar quality systems\nExperience with inspection methods and data acquisition systems\nSkills & Capabilities\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skills\nEffective communication across technical and non-technical teams\nTools & Systems\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)\nExperience with CAD/CAM (SolidWorks preferred)\nStrong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T\nAdditional Requirements\nMust be a U.S. Person (due to ITAR requirements)\nAbility to pass background check and drug screening\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary Range: $120,000 - $150,000\n100% Employer-Paid Medical & Dental\nAnnual Bonus Program\n401(k) with 5% Match\nEmployee Stock Option Program\n9/80 Work Schedule (every other Friday off)\n8 Paid Holidays + Generous PTO\n$2,500 Tuition Reimbursement\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nRock West Composites is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
