These services are written in Go, run on AWS, and are held to a higher bar than the rest of the platform, because when they are wrong, someone's money is wrong.\nThis is a hands-on, end-to-end ownership role. You will own core service components from design and implementation to rollout and on-call, working in a small, fast-paced, cross-functional team.\nWe are looking for someone with a strong sense of ownership who treats correctness, auditability, and reliability as first-class requirements, and who can clearly communicate technical decisions and trade- offs.\n/ Responsibilities\nDesign and build financial services in Go (payments, disbursements, ledgering, reconciliation, and reporting) with correctness, auditability, and recoverability as first-class requirements.\nOwn core service components end to end: design, implementation, rollout, monitoring, and on- call.\nIntegrate with external financial partners such as banks, card processors, ACH/RTP rails, credit bureaus, and KYC/KYB vendors, including retries, partial failures, webhook ordering, settlement files, and partner outages with money in flight.\nBuild automated reconciliation and exception handling, so breaks are detected automatically, explained clearly, and resolvable by operators without engineering involvement.\nBuild reliability from the ground up, with automated testing, resilience, and data accuracy as first principles.\nShip, monitor, and debug your own services on AWS using Infrastructure-as-Code.\nWrite clear design docs, incident write-ups, and PR descriptions that others can act on.\nCollaborate closely with a small, cross-functional team that moves fast and fully owns its systems.\nTechnical Skills\n6+ years of experience building and operating backend services in production.\nSignificant recent production experience with Go, including its concurrency model, error handling conventions, and common pitfalls.\nDirect experience with financial or transactional systems such as payments, ledgers, banking, lending, billing, or trading.\nStrong command of correctness patterns: idempotency keys, exactly-once effects over at- least-once delivery, optimistic concurrency, outbox/inbox patterns, sagas or compensating transactions, and immutable audit trails.\nStrong relational modeling and SQL skills (PostgreSQL), including isolation levels, locking, transaction boundaries, and safe migrations on live tables.\nExperience operating services on AWS and with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.\nSolid understanding of money handling: integer minor units, rounding, and multi-currency.\nNice to Have\nExperience in regulated environments (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GLBA, FCRA) or working with external auditors.\nExperience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, SNS/SQS, or equivalent) and their ordering and duplication challenges.\nBackground in credit reporting, rent reporting, lending, or consumer
