Responsibilities include drafting communications plans, messaging, talking points, press releases, media advisories and pitches to inform, engage and secure earned media coverage. The Manager is proactive, focused and organized with the ability to drive media relations campaigns and other communications initiatives including but not limited to media monitoring and reporting, award submissions, speaking engagements, PR event planning and execution and more.\nESSENTIAL FUNTIONS\nDevelop and manage communications plans for Bedrock projects, initiatives and milestones.\n\nCreate, edit and distribute impactful written content including press releases, pitches and narratives that further define and build upon Bedrock’s mission and vision; develop media kit materials that are aligned with and incorporate approved messaging.\n\nConduct media outreach to secure ongoing, positive earned press coverage.\n\nCultivate media relationships to ensure consistent engagement with relevant local, regional and national media.\n\nDevelop messaging, talking points and/or media statements, as needed.\n\nLead planning, execution and promotion of PR events; provide on-site management at PR events or company engagements, as required.\n\nWork collaboratively across teams to identify and align project priorities and strategies.\n\nCompile reporting and provide analysis of Bedrock coverage based on key communication metrics; monitor and distribute Bedrock related media coverage.\n\nGenerate award submissions.\n\nVet and coordinate speaking engagements.\n\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field or equivalent education, training and experience\n\n5-10 years of public relations or related experience, ideally within commercial real estate or development\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nExcellent attention to detail and organization\n\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines\n\nDesire to work both independently and collaboratively\n\nKEY COMPETENCIES\nCommunication: Clearly articulates vision and expectations, adapts messaging to diverse audiences, fosters open dialogue, and manages conflict constructively.\n\nPlanning & Organization: Aligns team efforts with strategic goals, delegates effectively, anticipates challenges, and drives accountability and results.\n\nProblem Solving: Proactively identifies and resolves issues, promotes critical thinking, and supports continuous improvement and collaboration.\n\nCulture & Ethics: Models integrity and inclusivity, champions organizational values, and fosters a positive, ethical, and inclusive work environment.\n\nTechnical Expertise: Applies and develops industry knowledge, mentors others, and stays current with trends to drive performance and innovation.\n\nLeadership & Accountability: Demonstrates accountability by setting clear expectations, making sound decisions, and taking ownership of results while building strong relationships, modeling organizational values, adapting effectively to change, and developing others to drive accountability and performance.\n\nWORK ENVIORMENT\nBedrock is an in-person, five-day-a-week workplace. All team members are expected to work onsite Monday through Friday during standard business hours, unless otherwise specified by their role or designated shift.\n\nSome roles may have flexibility to work remotely on Fridays, based on the nature of the work and business needs.
