If you want to see your designs fly, work side-by-side with passionate engineers, and take full ownership of your hardware, send us an application today.\nYour Tasks\nSupport the development of new propulsion designs based on real test data\nCollaborate daily with Test, Manufacturing, analysis and Production teams\nInvestigate test anomalies and perform root cause analysis to improve performances\nEnsure design documentation is correct and up to date\nCreate design specs for engine development (pressure cascade, performance numbers, etc.)\nUnderstand the basics of turbomachinery, valve, thrust chamber and injector design\nUse various testing, analysis, modelling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance\nInterpret simulation results and incorporate learnings into CAD (Thermal, Structural, Flow, etc.)\nPerform design, analysis and development engineering tasks for various propulsion systems\nOwn CAD of next gen engines subsystems\nCreate test plans for powerpack and engine testing and analyse test results\nInitiate and foster production of engines\nCreation of medium to long term timelines for development of the engine’s subsystems\nYour Qualifications\nDegree in Aerospace Engineering, Engineering or related discipline\n5+ years work experience in space propulsion systems\nDemonstrated proficiency in the basic principles of compressible and incompressible flow, thermodynamics, thermochemistry, mechanics, and pressurized components\nSome experience in the design of liquid rocket engines, turbomachinery, injectors and thrust chambers\nExperienced in testing of bipropellant liquid engines\nExperienced in interpreting P&IDs and a strong understanding of pressurized systems\nExcellent knowledge of physics, engineering materials and manufacturing processes\nExperienced in RPA, and Coolprop\nExperience with Siemens NX, Python, and Rocketisp is a plus\nUnderstanding of engineering technical drawings\nHands-on workshop experience is beneficial\nFluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)\nSelf-independent, a structured way of working and committed to working in a fast-paced environment\nWe Offer\n\nAtmosphere: Experience life in an international & dynamic New Space start-up \n\nFlexibility: Fit your working schedule to your needs with flexible working hours \n\nHome Office: Full-time employees benefit from one day per week home office \n\nHealth: Sweat, stretch or squat it out with EGYM Wellpass \n\nPaid Time Off: 30 days annual leave and speacial leave days \n\nTeam Culture: Join regular company and team events \n\nParking: Free parking for your car or bike\n\n Insights\n\nReady to take the next step?\nJoin RFA and help build one of Europe’s most efficient launch systems.
