Whether it’s a single high-performance spacecraft, constellation, or the vertically integrated components that help them get to space - our world class Space Systems team is empowering some of the boldest and most ambitious space missions\nSUPERVISOR, FACILITIES\nBased out of Rocket Lab's new site in Albuquerque, NM as part of the SolAero Technologies acquisition, theSupervisor, Facilities is responsible for facilities maintenance, operations and improvement projects across the site. You will support the Senior Manager, Ops Support with deliverables required for internal leadership.\nWHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:\nUtilizing internal and external resources- Supervise the maintenance and operation of all facilities equipment and systems.\nDevelop maintenance policy and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.\nDevelop and execute plan to manage all building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management.\nDevelop and execute plans for facilities modifications and improvements with the focus on scope, schedule, and budget.\nSupervise and train a staff of employees in the general maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.\nEnsure facilities maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and that work orders are tracked and completed within the budgeted guidelines.\nWorks hand in hand with subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that maintenance and project milestones are met and adhering to approved budgets keeping fab and other environments in spec.\nSupervises and Manages Chem Support team to meet manufacturing needs by controlled delivery of chemicals to the factory.\nSupervises and Manages Chem Support team to handle hazardous waste streams in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.\nSupervises and manages Safety and ERT training of the facilities and chem support technicians.\nBe a member of the site ERT team, supporting and responding to emergency issues and situations.\nOther duties as assigned\nYOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:\nHS diploma\n10+ years of experience in a facilities environment\nTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:\nBachelor’s Degree in a related subject area\nThorough working knowledge of facilities systems and improvement projects\n5+ years supporting a facilities role as an individual contributor\n3+ years supervisory experience\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS\nWork in environments with electrical hazards, chemical exposure, temperature variations, and noise \nWear required PPE as assigned, which may include safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and/or other protective clothing for extended periods \nMove between buildings, labs, and work areas, as needed \nLift, carry, push and pull materials and equipment up to 25 lbs. unassisted \nFlexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts as operational needs require \nWHAT TO EXPECT \nWe’re on a mission to unlock the potential of space to improve life on Earth, but that’s not an easy task.
