Team members receive a competitive total rewards package, including equity participation, 401(k) matching, and excellent health benefits.\nPosition Summary\nAs a Facilities Technician I, you will be part of a team responsible for the start-up and maintenance of equipment required to operate the Cranbury facility, laboratories, and manufacturing cleanroom. Additional responsibilities include equipment troubleshooting, equipment user training, and management of contractors related to equipment maintenance.\nThe ideal candidate will also have a strong passion and curiosity for science and gene therapy with the desire to contribute individually and collectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment\nResponsibilities\nPerform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of facility equipment and building systems.\nSupport the operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.\nRespond to maintenance requests and resolve facility-related issues in a timely manner.\nAssist with preventative maintenance activities and implement corrective actions as needed.\nMaintain facility cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness in maintenance and utility areas.\nCoordinate and support external contractors, vendors, and service providers performing maintenance, repair, and installation work.\nEscort contractors as required and verify work is completed according to facility standards and safety requirements.\nAssist with waste management activities, including routine, electronic, and regulated waste disposal processes.\nMonitor and support critical facility utility systems, including water purification systems, gas distribution systems, emergency power systems, and remediation/neutralization systems.\nPerform inspections and basic maintenance to ensure system reliability and compliance.\nIdentify and report system deficiencies and assist with corrective actions.\nParticipate in required training programs and maintain training compliance.\nSupport facility inspections, audits, and regulatory readiness activities.\nEnsure emergency exits, mechanical spaces, storage areas, and utility rooms remain compliant with safety and fire code requirements.\nPromote a safe working environment and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum 1-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, manufacturing support, or a related field.\nBasic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.\nAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred GMP experience\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, climbing, bending, and working in mechanical spaces.\nCompensation\nThe expected salary range for this position is $61,000 to $81,000.\nAt Rocket, our compensation philosophy and ranges are built upon data and insights collected from validated world-class providers.
