You will work closely with Sales, Channel Partners, Product, Finance, Procurement, Information Security, Privacy, and executive stakeholders to structure, negotiate, and close complex commercial transactions, exercising sound judgment on when to resolve matters independently and when to escalate material risks.\n\nIn this role, you will serve as the primary legal partner on assigned business matters, independently advise on deals and issues arising in existing commercial relationships, and provide clear, risk-based recommendations to management and business teams. You will also advise on applicable laws and regulations and lead or materially contribute to new business processes within the business and risk areas.\n\nThe successful candidate will operate with a high degree of independence, take ownership of matters through completion, serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, and help drive scalable legal processes that support Rocket's continued growth. The role requires the ability to work effectively from established templates and playbooks, identify when tailored language is appropriate, and create new templates, clauses, and guidance for emerging or recurring business needs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nIndependently draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of complex commercial agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, cloud services, reseller and partner agreements, professional services agreements, NDAs, procurement contracts, statements of work, and strategic enterprise transactions.\n\nServe as the lead legal advisor on assigned customer, partner, and vendor negotiations, providing practical, risk-based guidance, resolving issues independently within established parameters, and escalating material or novel risks with a recommended course of action.\n\nPartner closely with Sales and go-to-market leaders on deal strategy, contract escalations, and complex commercial matters, including leading negotiations and coordinating cross-functional input through execution.\n\nAdvise internal stakeholders on legal, regulatory, and contractual issues related to technology transactions.\n\nStructure creative commercial solutions that accelerate business outcomes while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable laws.\n\nDevelop a thorough understanding of Rocket Software's products, business strategy, and customer environment to provide effective legal support.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Security, Privacy, Product Management, Procurement, and Compliance teams.\n\nEnsure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including data protection, anti-corruption, export controls, and software licensing requirements.\n\nMonitor legal and regulatory developments affecting Rocket's business and recommend appropriate actions.\n\nUse established contract templates, clauses, negotiation playbooks, and approval frameworks effectively;
