Position can be filled at either our Canoga Park, CA or our Redmond, Washington facility.\nIn this role, you will be instrumental in developing cutting-edge electronics for space power and electric propulsion systems. Our power systems range from tens of Watts to hundreds of kilowatts, incorporating a variety of power, low voltage analog, high voltage analog, mixed signal, and digital circuitry.\nYour excellent communication skills, creativity, passion, and broad technical expertise will empower you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, software, system, test, and program management. You will be involved in all phases of product development, from proposal and concept feasibility to design, testing, production, and follow-on support.\nEssential Functions:\nArchitect solutions to complex power converter challenges.\nPerform detailed circuit design and development including architecture, analysis, worst case analysis, simulation, and PCB layout oversight to convert your ideas into physical hardware.\nPerform initial power up of new circuit board designs and perform detailed verification, integration, and troubleshooting to ensure designs are functioning as intended.\nStabilize complex control loops.\nSupport production activities to ensure successful delivery.\nContribute to electronics proposals, feasibility studies, trade studies, and proof of concept development to support current programs and ensure future program successes.\nTrain, mentor, and lead other engineers to ensure we are all on a continual improvement path.\nOccasional travel may be required.\nCandidate must be able to obtain a US security clearance\nQualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics or related engineering/scientific discipline and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.\nPreferred Additional Skills:\nMaster of Science degree\nExperience learning and adapting to changing technologies, tools, requirements, and methodologies.\nProficiency in DC to DC converter and other Power converter design and development.\nProficiency in analysis and tuning of feedback and feedforward control systems used in power applications, such as voltage regulators, current controllers, and power converters.
