Join our IT team in maintaining the global IT infrastructure that empowers mission success through highly reliable and available systems.\nWHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:\nResolve complex technical issues across network infrastructure, systems, and integrations requiring escalated troubleshooting and analysis\nDeliver subject matter expertise and technical guidance to ensure optimal performance and availability of critical IT systems\nDrive upgrade and maintenance initiatives with a focus on continuous improvement, reliability, and security\nImplement and champion IT infrastructure standards for deployment and management across Space Systems environments\nParticipate in an on-call rotation supporting 24/7/365 Launch Mission Operations\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and optimize infrastructure solutions that meet organizational needs\nImplement and champion IT infrastructure standards for the deployment and management of Launch environments to ensure:Compliance with Rocket Lab Policies\nCompliance with cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures\nSimplified and consistent environment management practises\nAutomated build and maintenance processes\nImprovements to increase reliability of systems\nSystem High Availability and Disaster Recovery\nClear and concise reporting on usage, uptime, support levels, etc.\nComprehensive documentation of environments and support\nEfficient cost control\n\nWork with a team of world class IT, engineering, and business professionals.\nYOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:\n2+ years of experience in a network focused technology role and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience (6+ Years of work experience)\nHands-on experience with the deployment of networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc..)\nUnderstanding of networking concepts including network security, network architecture design, technical standards and deliverables, troubleshooting tools\nIn-depth knowledge of at least one of:Fortinet Firewalls and Juniper/Cisco Switches\nEnterprise Network architecture or administration\nMulticasting and Switching (VLAN) overlays\nNetwork Monitoring tools and Packet capture practices\nLinux/Windows system administration\n\nUS citizenship is required, due to program requirements\nTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:\nSpecialist qualifications in area of expertise: Linux, CCNA, AWS, Microsoft, Azure, etc.\nExperience with mass deployment of devices or IaC\nExperience with Puppet, Ansible, or other automation frameworks\nExperience with Python, Shell, Bash, and/or other languages\nExperience with Promethius, Grafana, InfluxDB\nAdvanced problem solving and analytical skills - able to see the big picture, make connections and appropriate decisions.\nThis position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.\nThe expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state of Virginia’s pay transparency requirements.
