In additional to attending to guest accommodations, the department also oversees Laundry and Public Area operations.\n\nEssential duties and responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:\nAssisting in creation of budget and maintaining expenses to said budget\nScheduling all areas of division to ensure maximum productivity\nTraining standards in compliance to Ranch standards, Forbes Travel Guide, and Relais and Chateaux\nCoaching and counseling staff members through progressive discipline tactics\nPurchasing and maintaining inventory levels throughout all products within division\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\nKnowledgeable of and able to perform all duties of housekeeping, laundry and public area roles.\nAssist with responsibilities and duties of housekeeping and laundry services during need periods.\nAddress guest concerns, requests and special requirements in a timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction.\nCommunicate guest concerns, requests and special requirements in a timely manner to appropriate departments.\nCreate, review & monitor staff schedules to ensure there is always sufficient coverage.\nStay within budget for any expenses and supplies.\nWork with leadership to recruit, train, and supervise staff.\nPerform counseling and coaching sessions with staff.\nConfirm all staff members have arrived and document/find substitutes for any late or absent employees.\nConfirm all staff members are dressed appropriately according to uniform policy\nPrioritize workload appropriately based on staffing and occupancy.\nProvides room availability information to Front Desk\nMaintains rooms and common areas of the property by conducting visual inspections of furniture, walls, and floor coverings; taking or recommending needed actions to management.\nContributes to team effort by attending period staff meetings with other department supervisors; discussing company policies and patrons’ complaints; making recommendations to improve service and operations.\nMaintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.\nKeeps housekeeping supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.\nKeeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; call for repairs.\nPromote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and co-ordination with other team members.\n Assist the Director of Housekeeping in managing property operations to maximize profitability and growth.\n\nEducation/Experience\nMinimum of three years supervisory experience in housekeeping/hospitality. Minimum of one year manager experience.\nStrong understanding of reservation software and housekeeping productivity standards preferred\nStrong understanding of chemical safety, sanitation standards, and regulations to ensure a safe environment \nExperience in recruitment and payroll systems\nAbility to communicate with guests/employees to their understanding and to provide legible written communications and direction.\nAbility to compute basic mathematical calculations and follow budget guidelines.\nValid driver’s license.\n\nSpecial Skills/Physical Demand\nDisplay a friendly, courteous and professional demeanor with guests, and other employees.\nAbility to anticipate and understand guest inquiries, providing prompt response time.\nAbility to perform assignments with minimal supervision and focus attention on details.\nAbility to prioritize, organize work assignment and follow-up to achieve desired results.\nAbility to ensure security and confidentiality of guest and company information.\nAbility to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.\nAbility to regularly lift and or move 30 lbs. and occasionally lift or move 50 lbs.\nAbility to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area\n\nThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities or working conditions associated with the position.
