This role will be responsible foridentifyingand analyzing potential threats to Rockstar’s Live Service titles as well as the organization at large. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of intelligence and investigations principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to stay ahead of emerging threats. \nThis is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s new state-of-the-art game development studio in Carlsbad, CA. \nWHAT WE DO\nThe Rockstar Game Security team is responsible for protecting our players, employees, and intellectual property. \nWe support all Rockstar titles from malicious actors and insider threats. \nWe work closely with other teams to enforce, support, and improve security solutions. \nRESPONSIBILITIES\nIdentify and prevent fraudulent or malicious behavior using open-source intelligence (OSINT), internal tools, and investigative methods. \nOwn complex investigations, including data collection, analysis, and synthesis from multiple systems. \nMaintain intelligence on relevant subjects and emerging threats. \nEnsure consistent, high-quality investigative reporting and intelligence outputs. \nSupport response efforts for security incidents and escalations as needed. \nDrive process improvements, including automation and tooling to scale investigative workflows. \nDevelop and maintain reporting to measure program effectiveness and inform decision-making. \nStay current on emerging technologies, investigative techniques, and threat landscapes. \nREQUIREMENTS\n5+ years professional experience in threat intelligence, investigations, or similar roles. \nStrong expertise in intelligence gathering, monitoring, and investigative reporting. \nExperience conducting complex investigations across digital platforms. \nProficiency with data analysis tools and systems (e.g., SQL, Hadoop, or similar). \nExperience with link analysis methodologies and tools. \nFamiliarity with legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations related to investigations. \nBackground in threat intelligence, open-source intelligence or internal/external investigations preferred. \nFamiliarity with security assessment tools and monitoring systems. \nPLUSES\nPlease note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.\nExperience with Maltego, Hunchly, Splunk, case management platforms, and/or relational databases. \nExperience working with online games, live services, or large-scale AAA multiplayer environments. \nStrong analytical mind with problem-solving skills. \nExcellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams. \nMentoring mindset, sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices with peers. \nScripting skills (e.g. SQL, Python) for automation and analysis. \nBasic level of fluency or above in languages other than English. \nADDITIONAL INFORMATION\nHOW TO APPLY\nPlease apply with a resume and cover letter demonstrating how you meet the skills above.
