In this dynamic role you'llwork closely with other engineering and product teams to detect, analyze, and mitigate threats to the player experience and stay ahead of evolving attack vectors. \nThis is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based in Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of Dundee, Scotland. \nWHAT WE DO\nThe Game Security team is responsible for protecting our players, our games, and intellectual property from malicious actors.\nWe work across multiple disciplines to detect, deter, and disrupt threats impacting the player experience.\nWe work closely with other teams to enforce, support, and improve security solutions. \nRESPONSIBILITIES\nAnalyze and respond to threats including cheats, exploits, account takeovers, and intellectual property (IP) abuse. \nFine-tune and support anti-cheat measures and in-game abuse prevention systems. \nPerform security assessments of game features and enforcement policies. \nInvestigate security incidents, analyze telemetry, and recommend mitigations related to cheating and fraud. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security controls and detection. \nMonitor cheat trends, automate detection and enforcement workflows, and enhance account security posture. \nREQUIREMENTS\n3+ years professional experience in security analysis, game security, or threat detection. \nProven experience analyzing cheats, game exploits, abuse vectors, and IP infringement cases. \nFamiliarity with anti-cheat systems, abuse prevention, and account takeover mitigation. \nUnderstanding of account security threats, including credential stuffing and account takeovers.\nStrong analytical mind with problem-solving skills. \nProficient in log analysis, threat hunting, and security automation. \nFamiliarity with security assessment tools and monitoring systems. \nExcellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams. \nAbility to stay updated on emerging cheat methods, security vulnerabilities, and gaming industry threats. \nPLUSES\nPlease note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.\nExperience working with online games, live services, or large-scale AAA multiplayer environments. \nKnowledge of credential stuffing and bot mitigation. \nScripting skills (e.g. SQL, Python) for automation and analysis. \nExperience with rigorous documentation requirements (e.g. investigations, analysis, evidentiary records, etc.).\nKnowledge of machine learning approaches for cheat and bot detection. \nHOW TO APPLY\nPlease apply with a CV and cover letter demonstrating how you meet the skills above.
