And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!\nJob Description\nThe Commodity Manager is a strategic sourcing professional responsible for developing enterprise-wide commodity strategies for direct materials that support Rockwell Automation's Integrated Supply Chain. You will oversee supplier and commodity strategies end-to-end, guide cost optimization, supply continuity, quality, risk mitigation, and business growth. You will influence partners, lead supplier negotiations and sourcing projects with a high level of autonomy. This is an individual contributor position reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager and is working hybrid in either Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH.\nYour Responsibilities:\nDevelop commodity strategies in consideration of business and ISC priorities.\nLead sourcing events, supplier negotiations, and contracting decisions.\nManage supplier performance and continuous improvement plans (quality, delivery, cost).\nPartner with PLM, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to support NPI and lifecycle management.\nEnsure compliance and adoption of sourcing strategies across partners.\nMonitor market conditions, cost drivers, and supply risks.\nLead complex, multi-region sourcing strategies with enterprise-level impact.\nGuide cost modeling, cost transparency, and long-term productivity projects.\nInfluence executive partners on trade-offs across cost, risk, and speed.\nDevelop supply risk mitigation strategies, including dual sourcing and capacity assurance.\nShape and improve the global supply base and lead strategic supplier partnerships.\nBuild risk mitigation strategies (dual sourcing, capacity assurance, geopolitical risk).\nLead strategic supplier partnerships, including executive-level reviews and negotiations.\nThe Essentials - You Will Have:\nBachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.\nLegal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.\nThe ability to travel 25% of the time.\nThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:\nTypically requires 8 years of related experience.\n5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations.\nDegree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or technical discipline.\nExperience building commodity strategies end-to-end.\nDelivered quantifiable cost and performance outcomes.\nExperienced in managing complex/global supplier networks.\nExperience influencing senior partners and cross-functional leaders\nExperience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).\nKnowledge of electronic/electro-mechanical/mechanical commodities or engineered products.\nManaged suppliers and performed sourcing strategies.\nExperience working in a high-mix and low-volume business within in industrial automation market segment.\nRecent experience working with data center demand and associated market disruptions.\nExperience working with departments and manufacturing plants located globally in different time zones.\nWhat We Offer:\nHealth Insurance including Medical, Dental and Vision\n401k\nPaid Time off\nParental and Caregiver Leave\nFlexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can be flexible with your personal life.\nTo learn more about our benefits package, please visit at www. raquickfind.com.\nAt Rockwell Automation we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
