And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!\nJob Description\nThe Low Voltage Motor Control Center (LVMCC) Application Engineering Intern assists in custom motor control center (MCC) solutions for customer in a wide range of industries. You will be responsible for managing their own projects at once with varying milestones. You will be collaborating with Sales, Commercial Engineering, Development Engineering, Manufacturing, and Tech Support to listen to our customers, understand their application, and combine our technical and domain knowledge to solve problems and simplify our customer's experience. This includes completing sales orders and electrical and mechanical design, as well as the providing the bill of material (BOM) for manufacturing.\nYou will report to the Senior Application Engineering Lead, and have a hybrid schedule working in Milwaukee, WI (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in-person at the Milwaukee Headquarters location)\nYour Responsibilities:\nAssist on any productivity or tools enhancement projects\nReview and understand customer specifications and drawings.\nInterface with the customer on technical and commercial aspects of the order.\nResolve and document exceptions and questions.\nDevelop a knowledge of Rockwell products and be able to speak to the benefits of them in certain applications.\nCreate and/or modify electrical schematics.\nCreate and/or modify mechanical models of electrical component assembly.\nProvide final factory build documents including Bill of Material (BOM).\nCollaborate with manufacturing to provide build instructions and resolve technical issues.\nSupport manufacturing for issues encountered during build process.\nThe Essentials - You Will Have:\nPursuing a Bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university.\nLegal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.\nThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:\nPursuing a mechanical, electrical, biomedical, or similar degree from an accredited college or university\nMust be enrolled for at least one more semester of school after the internship concludes (graduation date of December 2027 or later)\nLocal or attending school in the greater Milwaukee area (within 50 miles from the Headquarter location)\nPotential to stay on part-time throughout the school year (in-person)\nEnjoy researching different ways to make our customers lives easier.\nDesire to see the impact of the decisions you make and addressing potential roadblocks.\nDesire to work or comfort with working in a customer-facing role\nExperience with PLCs, CAD, schematic design, Ladder Logic, SolidWorks, and Studio 5000\nExperience communicating engineering support, updates, and resolutions to customers and other partners.\nEnjoy learning new processes and products and are willing to extend beyond your job scope to help issues get resolved.\nAre willing to learn both electrical and mechanical disciplines to provide a complete solution for our customers.)\nWhat We Offer:\nHealth Insurance including Medical, Dental and Vision\n401k\nPaid Time off\nParental and Caregiver Leave\nFlexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can be flexible with your personal life.\nTo learn more about our benefits package, please visit at www.raquickfind.com.\nAt Rockwell Automation we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
