And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!\nJob Description\nOn behalf of CUBIC, a Rockwell Automation company, we are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our R&D team in Brønderslev.\nIn this role, you will contribute to the development of CUBIC's modular low-voltage switchboard systems, including enclosure structures, busbar support systems, and related mechanical components. Working closely with development engineers and project teams, you will help turn concepts and requirements into practical, manufacturable products used in switchboard systems around the world.\nAs a Mechanical Designer, you will become part of a skilled R&D team in Denmark and collaborate with colleagues across Rockwell Automation's global organization. You will work in a new product development environment, supporting projects from concept through production release while contributing to both new product introductions and the continuous development of existing products.\nYour responsibilities:\nDevelop 3D CAD models, drawings, and product specifications for new products and product improvements\nSupport the design and development of enclosure systems, busbar support systems, and related mechanical components\nEnsure designs meet requirements for quality, safety, reliability, manufacturability, and cost\nCreate and maintain drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and related product data\nMaintain product information and specifications in relevant business and production systems\nManage the release of drawings, specifications, and product data through the Engineering Change process\nParticipate in prototype development, testing, and product verification activities\nCollaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and project teams throughout the product development process\nYour role will combine hands-on design work with collaboration across multiple functions. Alongside your colleagues in Denmark, you will work closely with engineers, manufacturing, product management, sourcing, and project teams across the international organization.\nTo succeed in this role, you are comfortable taking ownership of your work and turning concepts into practical design solutions. You combine a structured approach with attention to detail and enjoy working closely with engineers, manufacturing, and other stakeholders throughout the development process. At the same time, you are curious, collaborative, and motivated by seeing your designs become real products.\nThe Essentials - You Will Have:\nA relevant technical education as a Technical Designer or within Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Production Technology, Mechanical Design, or a similar field\n\nExperience with CAD software, preferably Creo or Pro/ENGINEER\nExperience working with large and complex assemblies\nExperience creating and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and product data\nA structured approach to managing product information and design changes\nThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:\nSheet metal design and manufacturing processes\nBusbar stamping, forming, or related metal processing methods\nInjection moulding, die casting, or similar production technologies\nLow-voltage power distribution equipment\nIEC and UL standards and certification requirements\nProduct development within industrial or electromechanical products\nWhy this role matters\nCUBIC's products form the foundation of low-voltage switchboard systems used in industries, infrastructure, energy, and commercial facilities around the world.
