And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!\nJob Description\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking a Production Supervisor for our Ladysmith, WI location who will provide Supervision on 2nd shift to a team of about 15-20 employees.\nYou will oversee our Molding department and will report to the Production Manager.\nYou will direct the development and implementation of production goals in safety, quality, customer delivery, and financial improvement. Developing capacity plans and output forecasts based upon complex customer demand trends and variable labor content per production order is critical to the role. Developing and implementing resource planning in a high product mix, highly flexible and customized manufacturing process while selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production team is required.\nThis work consists of planning and administering operating policies, procedures, and practices that foster employee engagement in a continuous improvement-driven work environment.\nSchedule: This is a MON - FRI, 3:00pm-11:00pm shift. 2nd Shift.\nYour Responsibilities:\nSupervise 15-20 employees across multiple work shifts.\nMaintain and enforce safe work practices.\nSelect and hire employees and provide ongoing performance monitoring. Establish and maintain employee training and development programs and schedules.\nImplement company policies and procedures concerning disciplinary policies.\nPerform resource planning requirements and scheduling of work hours and time off requests.\nCommunicate daily production requirements and set targets based on capacity.\nPlan and coordinate production order transitions between shifts and between manufacturing departments.\nCommunicate production order status and results at frequent intervals. Communicate and resolve production issues.\nLead continuous improvement projects, i.e. Kaizen events.\nUnderstand and maintain complex manufacturing order management systems.\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nDevelop a motivated employee base on both rewards and recognition linked to accomplishments.\nCreate and maintain a culture of mutual respect and integrity at all levels. Continue an environment of open and honest communication.\nPresent operational metrics during regular order status reviews.\nCalculate labor efficiency, utilization, and productivity.\nAnalyze manufacturing labor times for variance and overall reduction opportunities.\nAnalyze daily backlogs and calculate required capacity to manage order lead times.\nDevelop resource plans based on individual work cell order demand rates. Understand operating budgetary controls.\nApply procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures may include but are not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies.\nThe Essentials - You Will Have:\nBachelor's degree OR equivalent professional experience.\nLegal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.\nThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:\n2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing or Production environment.
