And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!\nJob Description\nAs a Prototype Assembler Level 2P, you will perform a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations including wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and troubleshooting. You will use documented work instructions, bills of materials, drawings, and schematics to build quality products while meeting safety, productivity, and quality standards. You will work on the manufacturing team in Cambridge, Ontario on 2nd shift, supporting production activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional manufacturing operations.\nYour Responsibilities:\nPerform electronic and electro-mechanical assembly, wiring, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and component installation using documented work instructions, pick lists, and bills of materials.\nRead and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly documentation to complete assigned work.\nTroubleshoot assembly issues, perform minimal wiring procedures, and ensure products consistently meet quality standards.\nAccurately report work order activity, task completion, labor tracking, and Critical to Quality (CTQ) requirements within FactoryTalk ProductionCentre (FTPC).\nSupport continuous improvement efforts through Lean/Six Sigma activities, safety programs, cross-training, job rotation, and training of other employees as required.\nThe Essentials - You Will Have:\nHigh School diploma or GED.\nThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:\nMinimum 1 year of related assembly, manufacturing, electronic, or electro-mechanical experience.\nRead and follow documented work instructions and assembly procedures.\nUtilize computer systems to access and record job-related information.\nMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nSafely use manual tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment.\nLift up to 35 lbs.\nSit and/or stand for extended periods.\nExperience performing electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations.\nExperience with wiring, cable harnessing, and hand soldering.\nExperience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.\nExperience working in a manufacturing or production environment with documented work instructions.\nExperience with SAP, FactoryTalk ProductionCentre (FTPC), or similar manufacturing systems.\nExperience participating in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives.\nExperience training or supporting other production employees.\nWhat We Offer:\nHealth Insurance including Medical and Dental\nHealth Care Spending Account (HCSA - dependent on the plan chosen)\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nRetirement plans\nPaid Time off\nVolunteering Time off\nEmployer Savings Plan Matching (includes RRSP, TFSA, and EPSP)\nEmployer Paid DC Pension\nMaternity and Parental Leave Top-Up\nFitness Reimbursement Program\nFlexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that works with your personal life.\nThis position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.\nFor this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $48,080 - $72,120 with an annual target bonus of 4% of base salary.
