And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!\nJob Description\nThe Senior Control Hardware Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, validation, and lifecycle support of industrial motor control and variable frequency drive products. You will work in a diverse global environment and contribute to a culture where different perspectives are welcomed and respected.\nThis position reports to the Development Engineering Team Lead.\nYour Responsibilities:\nParticipate in a product engineering team in the design, analysis, modification, or enhancement of variable frequency motor drives. Meet cost, performance, and schedule requirements.\nProvide design & test specifications and perform qualification test to support product cost reduction program, strategic sourcing opportunities, product obsolescence replacements, manufacturing issues and any other product design changes.\nDesign embedded control hardware, including analog and digital circuits, power supplies, motor control, communication interfaces, and signal acquisition circuits.\nCreate design documentation to help deliver high-quality products, including functional block diagrams, test plans, test results, and user documentation.\nPerform RCFA, analyze complex malfunctioning electrical and electro-mechanical circuits or systems and satisfactorily design and test a solution for the malfunction.\nConduct compliance testing and participate in design reviews to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.\nUse laboratory instrumentation and development tools for hardware validation, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation.\nSupport engineering laboratory operations and continuous improvement activities.\nThe Essentials - You Will Have:\nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field.\nMinimum five (5) years of experience in electrical hardware design.\nProficiency in the use of laboratory instrumentation for hardware measurement, validation and troubleshooting.\nWorking knowledge of UL and CE standards applicable to industrial control hardware design.\nExperience with engineering document control and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, including SAP and Windchill.\nExperience using circuit simulation and analysis tools such as PSpice and MATLAB for design, analysis, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.\nExperience in schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Mentor Graphics DxDesigner/PADS or Altium Designer.\nExperience in development of power electronics products, including motor drives, power supplies, PWM techniques, and motor control applications.\nThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:\nProficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.\nExperience working in Agile product development environments.\nKnowledge of EMC compliance requirements, emissions/susceptibility analysis, and related test methodologies.\nFamiliarity with high-speed signal integrity analysis and simulation tools ·\nExperience with printed circuit board (PCB) design and manufacturing processes\nWhat We Offer:\nOur benefits package includes …\nComprehensive mindfulness programs with a premium membership to Calm\nVolunteer Paid Time off available after 6 months of employment for eligible employees\nCompany volunteer and donation matching program - Your volunteer hours or personal cash donations to an eligible charity can be matched with a charitable donation.\nEmployee Assistance Program\nPersonalized wellbeing programs through our OnTrack program\nOn-demand digital course library for professional development\n... and other local benefits!\nAt Rockwell Automation we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
