And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!\nJob Description\nAs a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Rockwell Automation, you will have the opportunity to grow your career in Control Logix Motion embedded software by solving challenging problems using modern technologies, tools, and practices. You will be part of a new product development team with a focus on design, development, and test of embedded software and features for programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Given tightly coupled hardware and software in our products, previous embedded software experience is preferred. You will report to the Manager, Motion Embedded Software and have a hybrid schedule working Hybrid in Mayfield Heights, OH.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDevelop safety- and security-critical embedded software for new Programmable Logic Controllers.\nWork in a variety of hardware and software environments, ranging from commercial off-the-shelf to custom System on Chip architectures, and from general purpose to embedded real-time operating systems.\nBuild and maintain automated tests in support of new and existing product features\nUse modern continuous integration and development tools, and promote continuous improvement of tools and practices across the global development organization\nDemonstrate a strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, C++ and Python are preferred\nOperate across the entire software development life cycle: requirements management, design, implementation, test, release, and maintenance\nWork on an Agile development team within a larger Scaled Agile Framework organization, participating in short term (sprint), medium term (program increment) and long term (product roadmap) planning\nImplement controller features and subsystems with and provide technical guidance to the team\nMentor less experienced personnel, and encourage knowledge sharing and learning among the development community\nThe Essentials - You Will Have:\nBachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience\nLegal authorization to work in the US is required.
