And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!\nJob Description\nThe Senior Proposal Engineer develops technical and commercial proposals for the assessment, design, implementation, and management of Solutions and Services offerings tailored to customer needs.\nYou will support Rockwell Automation Lifecycle Services' business and financial goals by delivering compliant, high-quality proposals. As a subject matter expert, the Senior Proposal Engineer collaborates with Sales, Departments, distributor and teams across the region to explain the value of Rockwell Automation's portfolio.\nYour Responsibilities:\nProposal Development & Execution\nLead the development of detailed, customized proposals for Industrial Automation, Drives, Networks, and cybersecurity Services.\n\nAccomplish proposal activities including technical assessment, risk identification and mitigation, proposal generation, approvals, and order entry.\n\nEnsure proposals meet defined margin and compliance requirements.\n\nDeliver accurate, professional proposals within expected timeframes.\n\nCollaboration & Communication\nWork with Sales, Solution Consultants, Engineering, Field Services, Operations, Commercial & Negotiation (C&N), Finance, and Credit Management teams.\n\nBe a primary contact for Sales and Teams during the proposal phase.\n\nAddress customer queries and provide technical clarifications.\n\nReview and interpret commercial terms and conditions, including corporate agreements.\n\nSolution Design & Cost Estimation\nDesign solutions aligned with client specifications and industry’s best practices.\n\nDevelop accurate cost estimates considering materials, labour, and project-related expenses.\n\nEnsure task completion.\n\nTechnical Expertise\nDemonstrated hands-on experience in Operational Technology (OT) environments, including the design, deployment, and management of industrial automation systems.\n\nAdvanced proficiency with DCS, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), including migration, modification, and upgrade projects across various platforms\n\nKnowledge in the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) drives, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.\n\nKnowledge in the after-sales services activities and their offering / proposals like Service and Contract and ensuring optimal performance and reliability.\n\nRisk & Quality Management\nConduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.\n\nEnsure accuracy in all technical content.\n\nCollaborate with quality assurance to meet internal standards.\n\nContinuous Improvement\nStay updated on trends in industrial automation and OT/IT integration.\n\nProvide feedback for process improvements in the proposal cycle.\n\nLead standardization of proposals and tools for network and cybersecurity solutions.\n\nSuccess Indicators\nDeliver accurate, high-quality proposals.\n\nProposals align with margin targets, compliance standards and internal processes.\n\nSupport business growth and strategic projects.\n\nThe Essentials - You Will Have:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering\n\nMinimum 8 -10 years of experience in proposal/project engineering within industrial automation.\n\nTechnical knowledge of automation technologies (PLCs, DCS, drives, Oils & Gas, after sales Contracts).\n\nUnderstanding of cost structures, pricing strategies, and margin analysis is critical.\n\nYou will be asked to use MS office tools\n\nThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:\nCommand on contract terms & conditions\n\nCollaborative mindset.\n\nFluent in English (written and spoken)\n\nadaptable communication style.\n\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with senior partners.\n\nWhat We Offer:\nOur benefits package includes …\nComprehensive mindfulness programs with a premium membership to Calm\n\nVolunteer Paid Time off available after 6 months of employment for eligible employees\n\nCompany volunteer and donation matching program - Your volunteer hours or personal cash donations to an eligible charity can be matched with a charitable donation.\n\nEmployee Assistance Program\n\nPersonalized wellbeing programs through our OnTrack program\n\nOn-demand digital course library for professional development\n\n... and other local benefits!\nAt Rockwell Automation we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
