And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!\nJob Description\nThe Transportation Planner is responsible for executing transportation strategies that improve the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance of Rockwell's transportation operations. This role analyzes transportation data, develops insights and recommendations, and works closely with internal teams, carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to optimize transportation networks. The Transportation Planner supports transportation strategy development, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and helps ensure reliable service, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management across North America and international operations.\nYou will have a hybrid schedule working in Milwaukee, WI and report to the Transportation Manager - Americas.\nYour Responsibilities:\nAnalyze transportation data, including route performance, carrier performance, shipping costs, and inventory levels, to identify trends and improvement opportunities.\nDevelop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to provide transportation insights and support decision-making.\nOptimize transportation routes, modes, and network performance using transportation management systems (TMS) to improve service and reduce costs.\nPartner with service providers, freight forwarders, and industry experts to benchmark performance and recommend enhancements to the transportation roadmap.\nCollaborate with Sourcing and Planning teams to execute mode-shift initiatives and improve container utilization.\nManage relationships with carriers, transportation vendors, and third-party logistics providers to support efficient and cost-effective operations.\nEnsure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices across transportation activities.\nConduct cost-benefit analyses and recommend initiatives that reduce transportation costs and improve operational efficiency.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, support continuous improvement efforts, and resolve transportation-related challenges.\nIdentify and mitigate transportation risks, including disruptions, delays, and supply chain interruptions.\nSupport the development and execution of transportation strategy in partnership with the Global Transportation leadership team.\nContribute to the design and improvement of logistics processes that support consistent service levels across regions.\nThe Essentials - You Will Have:\nBachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.\nLegal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.\nThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:\nTypically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.\nBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.\n2+ years of experience in North America and/or international transportation operations, logistics, or supply chain management.\nExperience analyzing transportation and logistics data to support operational and cost improvement initiatives.\nExperience creating reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to communicate transportation insights.\nKnowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and transportation planning processes.\nExperience evaluating transportation costs and recommending optimization opportunities.\nExperience working with carriers, transportation vendors, freight forwarders, or third-party logistics providers.\nKnowledge of transportation regulations, safety requirements, and industry best practices.\nExperience collaborating across functions to implement process improvements and transportation initiatives.\nAbility to drive execution, manage competing priorities, and support both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational objectives.\nWhat We Offer:\nHealth Insurance including Medical, Dental and Vision\n401k\nPaid Time off\nParental and Caregiver Leave\nFlexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can be flexible with your personal life.\nTo learn more about our benefits package, please visit at www. raquickfind.com.\nAt Rockwell Automation we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
