And if that’s you we would love to have you join us!\nJob Description\nAs a Workshop Manager you will manage a team of engineers and technicians, oversee workflow planning, and improve programs to support business growth and operational efficiency.\nYou will report to the Engineering Manager. You will be located in Aldridge, West Midlands\nYour responsibilities - what you will do\nLead daily workshop operations to ensure productivity, quality, and delivery targets are achieved.\nManage, motivate, and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff.\nAllocate resources to meet customer turnaround times and service level agreements.\nMonitor workshop performance through goals, reporting on productivity, quality, and financial performance.\nEnsure compliance with all Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve customer satisfaction.\nWork closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve issues and support our goals.\nManage workshop equipment, tooling, and maintenance requirements.\nSupport recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning activities.\nEnsure accurate documentation, repair records, and quality control processes are maintained.\nThe essential - you will have\nExperience a workshop, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial repair management role.\nPeople management skills.\nExperience managing operational performance against Indicators and budgets.\nExcellent planning and organizational skills. \nExperience with Health & Safety requirements within an engineering environment.\nProficient in Microsoft Office and business management systems.\nThe preferred - you might also have\nBackground in industrial automation, electronics repair, electrical engineering, or manufacturing.\nLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.\nEngineering qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent).\nBachelor's degree. \n 1+ years of experience managing customer-focused operational teams.
