At ROCKWOOL, we work relentlessly to enrich modern living through our innovative stone wool solutions.\nJoin us and make a difference!\nYour Future Team\nReporting to the Director of HR, North America, you'll join a dynamic team where you can utilize your strong customer service and employee relations skills combined with your technical HR background to impact a highly engaged workforce.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nLabor Relations\nEnsure compliance with employment standards\nAccountable for completion of all investigations and maintenance of proper documentation\nPolicies & Procedures\nCollaborate with the HR team to prepare, update, and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures for both salaried (indirect) and hourly (direct) employees\nCoach and train the factory management team and supervisors on the implementation of new or revised policies and procedures\nWage & Salary Administration\nSource and provide salary data to attract and retain qualified direct and indirect staff\nMonitor and report on local hourly wage trends\nSupport the Operations Director with job descriptions, annual performance evaluations, and salary review process\nBenefits Administration & Claims Management\nPartner with the centralized Total Rewards Team to communicate benefits information to all factory employees\nCollaborate with the Total Rewards Team on managing short- and long-term disability claims to minimize duration and cost\nCoordinate employee reimbursements for programs such as tuition, hybrid car incentives, fitness, etc.\nWork with the Health & Safety Manager to implement Return to Work programs for those with a workplace injury or on long or short term disability\nRecruitment\nDevelop and maintain a site manning plan\nPartner with the Talent Acquisition team to source and identify candidates for factory roles\nParticipate in candidate interviews alongside hiring managers\nCoach hiring managers to ensure compliance with relevant legislation throughout the interview process\nDevelop, update, and facilitate orientation programs for new employees\nMonitor hiring progress and needs for direct factory roles\nEmployee Development & Retention\nSupport identification of internal candidates for promotion and advancement\nDetermine training and development needs, including courses and materials\nAssist in the delivery of internal training sessions\nDevelop and maintain apprenticeship and co-op programs in collaboration with local skilled trades colleges\nLegislative Compliance\nStay informed on current employment laws and regulations\nKeep management updated on legislative changes that may impact operations or employee relations\nCommunication\nParticipate in internal communication meetings as required\nEnsure factory communication boards are current and informative\nGeneral\nLead the Performance Management program for indirect employees, including goal-setting, mid-year, and year-end reviews.\nSupport supervisors in executing performance management or evaluations for direct employees\nContribute to the coordination and content of bi-annual People Meetings\nPerform other duties as assigned\nWhat You Bring\nExpertise creating and implementing HR policies/procedures at a newly created site, preferred\nDegree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience\n5+ years’ experience in progressive human resources positions\nExperience working within a manufacturing environment\nExperience within a labor environment\nProven track record in managing multiple projects within tight deadlines\nStrong drive, commitment and self-motivation\nStrong communication and presentation skills\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive Pay & Benefits from Day 1: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans. \n401K Match: Up to 6% \nPaid Time Off: Generous PTO, 12 paid holidays, and parental leave. \nEducational Assistance & Career Growth: Invest in your future. \nWellness Perks: Fitness reimbursement and EAP access. \nSafety First: Company-provided PPE and programs to keep you protected. \nThe salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000/annually.
