This role involves negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials to support production schedules and meet business objectives.\nKey responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to: \nShould have good hands on sourcing activities , Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for raw materials, components, and supplies.\nNegotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favourable terms.\nEstablish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and resolve any issues that may arise.\nPrepare and process purchase orders for direct materials based on production requirements and inventory levels.\nMonitor order status and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.\nAddress and resolve any discrepancies or issues with orders, including delays, shortages, and quality concerns.\nMaintain optimal inventory levels to support production needs while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.\nCollaborate with production and inventory control teams to forecast material requirements accurately.\nConduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.\nMonitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and availability of direct materials.\nImplement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize procurement spend.\nTrack and report on key procurement metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.\n Ensure all purchased materials meet required specifications and quality standards.\nCollaborate with the quality control team to address any quality issues with suppliers.\nConduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.\nMaintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.\nPrepare and present reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives.\nCommunication & Working Relationships\nReporting Lines : Purchase Manager\nTeam Members : SeniorPurchase Executive\nCross Function Communication : All Direct and Indirect Functions\nPersonal qualities: \nProactive\nMulti-Tasking\nDecision Making\nLeadership Flexible in Working\nTime Management\nPresentation Skills\nAnalytical\nSkills & Experience -
