That means collaborating openly, learning continuously, and bringing different perspectives together to create better solutions.\nYour impact as Lead Mechanical engineer\nAs Lead Mechanical Engineer you will own the mechanical system. From early concepts to prototypes and prototypes to production ready designs, you ensure our products are robust, reliable, manufacturable and scalable. You will rapidly prototype, iterate and test physical designs, while managing external engineering partners.\nYou will work closely with product management to align engineering priorities and anticipate the latest insight from customers.\nYou will join the Mechanical engineering Team and you will be reporting to the Team Lead Mechanical engineering. I n your daily work, you will collaborate with colleagues from Electrical engineering, Software engineering, Manufacturing and Supply chain teams.\nTogether, you will help build and improve the capabilities that enable Rocsys to scale.\nIn this role, you will\nDesign and develop innovative hardware\n-Own the mechanical system design, development, and optimization of one of Rocsys’ core products.\n-Generate new concepts and develop them into detailed designs, prototypes, and production-ready solutions.\n-Develop robust mechanical solutions, including mechatronic components such as actuators and sensors.\n-Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and continuous improvement based on test results.\nImprove reliability and scalability\n-Drive improvements in product reliability, performance, cost, and manufacturability.\n-Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles and work with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure designs can be produced efficiently at scale.\nCollaborate and contribute to engineering excellence\n-Align on requirements and priorities with product management and give input to project management on planning.\n-Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration between mechanical, electrical, and software components.\n-Distribute work and coordinate with external engineering partners when additional expertise or capacity is needed.\n-Contribute to improving engineering processes, technical standards, and ways of working within Rocsys.\nRequirements\nWhat you bring to Rocsys\nYou are an experienced Mechanical Engineer who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where technology, collaboration, and ownership come together.\nYou are motivated by bringing innovative products from idea to reality and solving complex technical challenges and you are excited to contribute to building solutions with real-world impact.\nEssential:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.\n\n7+ years of professional experience in mechanical product development.\n\nExperience taking products from concept through prototyping, testing, and into production.\n\nStrong experience with 3D CAD design (SolidWorks experience preferred).\n\nExperience designing mechanical and/or mechatronic systems.\n\nSolid understanding of manufacturing processes and design considerations for production.\n\nExperience working with prototypes, testing, validation, and design improvements.\n\nExperience coaching or mentoring other engineers.\n\nNice to have:\nExperience with sheet metal design, welding and plastic components.\n\nExperience applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.\n\nExperience with simulation tools such as SolidWorks Simulation.\n\nExperience working in robotics, automotive, or other high-tech product environments.\n\nYour way of working\nStructured, proactive, and able to take ownership.\nComfortable collaborating with different disciplines.\nHands-on and solution-oriented.\nCurious, open-minded, and eager to learn.\nStrong communication skills.\nMotivated by working in a growing, international scale-up environment.\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
