This on-site presence helps foster effective communication, faster decision-making, knowledge sharing, and a consistent studio culture across teams.\n The Python Software Developer designs, develops, integrates, and maintains software solutions that support Rodeo FX’s production and business operations. Working closely with stakeholders across departments, the role translates operational needs into reliable, maintainable tools that streamline workflows, improve data accessibility and integrity, and support the studio’s day-to-day activities.\nKey Responsibilities\nSoftware Development & Integration\nDesign, develop, and maintain Python applications, services, and automation tools that support production and business workflows.\nBuild and maintain integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms through REST APIs and other supported interfaces.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to understand operational needs, define technical requirements, and deliver practical solutions.\nContribute to software architecture, technical design, and development standards to support maintainable and scalable solutions.\nData Systems & Reliability\nCo-own and administer core data platforms and related services, with day-to-day responsibility for their maintenance, reliability, and operational continuity.\nDevelop and maintain tools that collect, synchronize, validate, and manage data across company systems.\nDiagnose and resolve software defects, integration failures, and performance issues.\nImprove existing applications and workflows through refactoring, optimization, and the reduction of technical debt.\nSupport & Collaboration\nProvide Level 1-3 support for supported applications and integrations during local business hours, coordinating with global teams to resolve or hand over incidents as needed.\nCollaborate with developers and stakeholders across locations to coordinate releases, communicate changes, and support adoption.\nApply appropriate testing, code review, version control, and documentation practices throughout the development lifecycle.\nMaintain technical documentation and troubleshooting guides, and share knowledge to support team continuity.\n A minimum of five years of professional experience developing software in Python.\nExperience designing, consuming, and troubleshooting REST APIs and integrations with third-party services.\nExperience with Docker and containerized applications.\nStrong understanding of software design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.\nFamiliarity with Git and collaborative development practices, including code reviews.\nAbility to translate operational needs into technical solutions and explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively within a global team.\nAssets:\nExperience integrating or supporting platforms such as ShotGrid, Google Workspace, HiBob, or NetSuite.\nExperience in visual effects, animation, or a related production environment.\n Diversity, Equity and Inclusion\nAt Rodeo FX, diversity is a core value.
