If you are interested in being a part of this, consider applying for the following opportunity:\nWho we are looking for:\nWe are looking for Network Designer who will be reporting to the Manager, Engineering - Wireless Data Core, the Data Networks specialist will be the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the engineering & implementation for Wireless Data Core platforms, services and networks (including 5G, MEC, LTE, IoT, LTE, etc…) \nA highly motivated, collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, technical team environment and can take on leadership responsibilities when needed.\nAn innovative and creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and initiative.\nA strong communicator with excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nA self-directed contributor who can work with minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against tight deadlines.\nWhat you will do:\nTake ownership and accountability for engineering deliverables supporting wireless data core platforms, including:5G Standalone Core (5GC): AMF, SMF, and UPF.\nEvolved Packet Core (EPC): MME, PGW, SGW, and ePDG.\n\nDevelop software and scripts to automate functional service validation for wireless solutions.\nCreate technical documentation and support configuration design changes on Wireless 3GPP platforms for 5G and LTE solutions.\nIntegrate and deploy next-generation cloud-native network functions using Kubernetes (K8s) and virtualization technologies.\nUse cloud and virtualization tools to automate workflows, platform instantiation, service validation, and KPI reporting.\nSupport capacity planning, platform dimensioning, and KPI performance reporting.\nCollaborate with Project Management, Network Operations, Network Planning, Product Development, IT, Engineering, and other teams to support end-to-end service integration, implementation, and solution delivery.\nDevelop lab designs and perform implementation and validation in controlled lab environments before production rollout.\nProvide troubleshooting support to Operations and other technical teams.\nResolve technical issues related to engineering designs.\nManage vendor relationships, including reviewing vendor quotes, statements and scopes of work, solution requirements, design specifications, acceptance test plans, Methods of Procedure (MOPs), and platform evolution roadmaps.\nWhat you bring:\nA university degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.\nA commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility, helping create an environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and supported.\nAt least 2 years of hands-on cloud computing experience.\nIn-depth knowledge of Any-G Wireless Core technologies, including 5GC, LTE, and 3G call flows, 3GPP architecture, and deployment and integration in large-scale carrier environments.\nWorking-level knowledge of 3GPP, ETSI, and IEEE industry standards.\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, microservices, edge computing, orchestration, CI/CD pipeline integration, and workflow automation in cloud environments.\nStrong understanding of cloud concepts, including virtualization, storage, containerization, IP networking, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and Network Functions Virtualization Infrastructure (NFVI).\nProven hands-on experience with server infrastructure and network devices.\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills in telco cloud and IP networking environments.\nGood understanding of IP networking and routing technologies, including HSRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, Spine-and-Leaf architectures, and CNI/Kubernetes plugins.\nExperience containerizing legacy applications into cloud-native functions.\nFamiliarity with data network and cloud security best practices.\nExperience with Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, EFK or ELK stacks, and SDN as applied to Wireless Packet Core environments.\nCloud certifications in Azure, AWS, and/or GCP are considered an asset.\nPython and/or Ansible scripting experience is considered an asset.\nWhat's in it for you\nGrowth & Development Opportunities:\nSelf-driven career development programs\nRogers First: priority in applying to internal roles of interest\nWellness Programs:\nEmployee & Family Assistance Program\nVirtual Healthcare\nCognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)\nLow or no-cost fitness membership\nOur commitment to diversity:\nAn inclusive and diverse workplace where you can bring your whole self to work.\nTo protect our people, brand and assets, a pre-employment background check will be conducted.
